Press release -- "Australians Charge to the Front" (1 Viewer)

Very nice to see this part of the war represented. The Lighthorsemen is one of my favorite war movies.

KC has got me on this one. I knew Andy would come through on this particular action and he has done so with an outstanding series. The detail looks superb. I have longed for a WW1 Lighthorse series that I liked and this is it. The whole range is now on my "must have" list. An excellent job, KC. -- lancer

My first post on this forum.

I met Andy and Helen earlier this evening and both were engaging, informative and truly interested in the views of collectors.

I've only had a passing interest in K&C WWI figures with little motivation to collect. But the detail on the Lighthorse figures was simply stunning and I'm now "hooked". I can't wait to own.

Congratulations - King & Country !

Very nice release ! I am happy for those who have been looking for WWI Calvary Units.

However, my collecting focus is on the new Confederate Calvary ! ;)

Got to go with the BOYS IN GREY first before any other !

But, very nice figures - lots of detail - looks sharp ! :)

Good choice of subject matter and great poses. No one should accuse you of being asleep at the helm Andy.
Have a safe trip, see you in Chicago.

Wow!

I wish Andy and JJ would stop doing this to me. So much excellent stuff to choose from. This must be the golden age for collecting. Choice, quality subject matter each month things just get better and better.

Who can complain now about yet another this or that. No more same old, same old.

Would love to see Andys sketches for this range. I dont want to to steal the glory from our Austrailian friends but I hope this roles out to include some allies. London Yoemany on Hill 720 fought to the last man New Zealanders in the charge and more Turks and Austian artillery.

Regards

RAMC

Congratulations to the K&C team for developing this fine new line.
The sculpts look great and I am looking forward to see them completely painted and ready for dispatch.

Great evening Saturday night with Andy and Brett and Helen and all the Australian collectors.Andy spoke to us all about past and future releases and hinted at new items to come.Andy got me aside and gave me the word on a few things coming up that will spin your minds. He hinted at this and that and ask my opinion on these.Well what could I say but yes to them all.He spoke for about Forty minutes about toy soldiers and everything to do about making them.Everyone was spelled bound buy what he had to say. This is the first time I have had a chance to experience something close to a toy soldier show or meeting.Brett from The Military Workshop did a great job to get K&C out here and to get us to come to dinner meet to him in person. This has changed the way I think about collecting as It has up lifted my enthusiasm again.Simmo.
P.S J.B its comming. Tiger oh yes. Boats. JS2 yes. Kokoda no.Simmo.

Just got back from the K&C event in Brisbane. It was a pleasure to meet Andy and Helen and hear Andy talk about his life and the K&C journey. Also this was my first opportunity to meet with other collectors including some fellow forum members. A great night was had by all and I'd like to add my thanks to Brett from the Military Workshop for persuading Andy to visit down under and for organising the event.

Oh, and as for the Australian Light Horse... a must have range! Some of the best poses and most detailed sculpting we've seen from K&C yet IMO. If the unpainted samples we were treated to are anything to go by these figures should prove another hit for K&C. Andy hinted at plans for further mounted figures and Turkish infantry and artillery which should add up to an impressive display.

Now I'm off to try and negotiate an increase in my toy soldier allowance. Thought I'd start with something like "Well, it'd be downright un-Australian not to get the Light Horse darling", but any suggestions re strategy most welcome.

Did anyone take any photographs of what sounds like a pleasant evening?

Several of you have hinted at future sets, e.g. Desert and Naval.

Can someone give a rundown of what may be coming in the near future. Thank you in advance.
