****!!! Resolve broken!!!!!...and I had such good solid resolve too....
I have, up to now, only collected Napoleonics. But I have also just returned from Bretts weekend up in Brisbane with Andy and Helen and a lot of collectors and Forum members and the weekend was fantastic!! What a great bunch of people and meeting Andy and Helen was magic!! Felt very priveledged to have met everyone up there and I want to thank Brett sincerely for giving some of us 'Downunder' the chance to meet the K&C boss.
Andy is a great guy and may I tell all of you what a superb job he has done on these new Lighthorsemen - All I can say is.. THE LIGHTHORSE LIVES!!!!!!
I have for 5 years stuck to my Napoleonics, notwithstanding a few K&C AWI and the Crimea range, but all colour and within a 100 year time period. Have NEVER entertained WWI or WWII - dread the thought of such drabness in my collection.. But I have to admit, even though I am fiercely New Zealander, my Aussie bretheren have picked a winner and these have turned me.
The photos of the samples in no way give justice to the actual detail of these guys. You have to see their faces - my favourite is the horsemen in full gallop holding his rifle, you can tell he is an expert horseman. And the Guidon bearer has the most determined look with his mouth grimly clamped shut and that 1000 yard stare... Nothing will stop these guys carrying the lines.
Even the Turkish machine gunner, though he is parched and his mouth is as dry as the surrounding desert, is determined to do his work unquestioningly.. now if only these infidels would dismount!!
Already know what my diorama will look like and can't wait to get them. Great work Andy, Helen, and Brett. And thanks HEAPS!! Wooooohhooooo!!!!!
Ok thats enough from me
