Now Chaps as a Brigadeir General you know i was right there at the front with you.Perhaps thirty five miles behind it but whats that between comrades eh?.Now i have just had the honour of being promoted by Queen Shannon to Major General.So obviously i will be conducting operations from my rooms at the London Ritz from now on.From here i will be able to get a much broader overview of the whole situation and therefore be able to speak up for you men.

Now i know you chaps in your squalid bit of Line,hunkered down in your trenches are suffering Rats,Lice,Whizz Bangs,Jack Johnsons,Mud,trench foot,funk and the those dratted Germans.But here at the Ritz we have our hardships too you know.Do you know this morning i had to wait fifteen mins for my first Martini!.Room service ain't what it used to be is it,what what!.I had smoked Salmon for lunch today and i don't even think it was Scottish!.I shall be raising this with the King when i play Golf with him at Gleneagles this weekend.

Anyway,keep your chins up chaps.If any of you have a problem come see me here at the Ritz.Ooops you can't leave the trenches or you'll be shot as deserters what!.
