Prussian Standard Bearer (3 Viewers)

There is no guarantee that he will but he might. My experience in collecting and buying on eBay is that eveything shows up again on eBay and sometimes the Forum. You have to be vigilant. If it were me, I'd collect the pieces I want, and hope that the flag bearer will show up in the near future.

Well Brad I strongly disagree.... I think that it is very ill advised to collect figures and HOPE that a NAP Highlander figure shows up :rolleyes2:..VERY FOOLISH.. and if it does show up on evil bay it may well cost him up to $500 :rolleyes2:...."Adios mes amigos" and "ta ta cherrio" for now :salute::

I have a wild idea....collect toy soldiers in a way that makes you happy! This is not life saving medical treatment we are discussing, they are glorified toys!

If I where you I would start buying the other figures in this line a few a month and just keep an eye out for these standard bearers. Zack has started collecting the First Legions standard bearers for every single line and has in a very short time accumulated them all except one.

Its possible and I'm sure they will show up at some point and they really don't sell for all that much over the original retail of $74.95 when they do. Just think when you get them as the icing on your Highlander cake, I really believe you would be able to get them. I will keep an eye out for you and let you know If I find them.

These figures were released back in June of 2010 and were in stock for many years, anyone thinking they are interested in a unit should buy the standard bearers first as soon as they can. They always sellout first, this has been the case since their first release and I really don't think its ever going to change. I wish you luck in finding them and hope that you will.

best Gebhard

I did exactly this although admittedly I did not know what I was doing (my first FL purchase ever). It took a few months but I found a set of flag bearers plus the drummer and the piper. I was not easy finding them, some came from the UK and the others from Australia, not cheep either. Would I have purchased all the highlanders and waited to find the missing figures if I knew then what I know now, probably not given the risk to not find what you are missing and then you are left with an incomplete collection (fine for some but not for me).

Oh NO NO Dear Squire the case is certainly NOT DISMISSED.....I beg to differ.... You are not the judge and jury.{sm4}{sm4}{sm4} And if so we the collectors will file an appeal on the basis of logic and COMMON SENSE{sm4}....I noticed a NAP flagbearer in you list for over $300 NOT A SMART MOVE AT ALL{sm4}

A truthful response.... and.....also Absolutely CORRECT in your advise :salute:::salute:::salute::

Frank, can we agree people collect differently and what is right for you just might not be the right answer? Just that it’s right FOR YOU!

Zblang, no offense but It's not about you or me...It's about Common Sense, Honesty and Telling the TRUTH of the Matter... That's what we are discussing

Honesty and truth??? Call me a moron, I don’t even know what that means in this regard

I think that if you honestly think over what I have been saying you may agree...If not... no problem... Best Frank

The “honest truth” is Mr V has no objective idea what the sales potential is if FL were to recreate this flag bearer. He only knows he needs it / wants it and presumes others are just like him. Thus his motives are purely selfish and self motivated. He is trying to couch the request as if it would be in FLs best interest but he has no idea if that is actually true. Only FL can do a fact based, quatititative analysis of what is the best use of their limited resources. For one to presume one can make decisions for a company, with which they have no involvement other than as customer, based solely on ones own personal need, is the height of arrogance and self centric behavior, the exact opposite of what he claims to represent.

Lack of self awareness is a terrible thing, as the poor soul has no clue. Pitiful.

.. Lets keep it civil guys.. First Legion is one of the best, if not the best. That definitely we can agree on. And that is the main reason, how I missed on the Standards for the Gordon Highlanders, there is always something great looking that comes out.. And before I realized it.. It was not available anymore.. And as far as taking the chance of buying everything else, in hopes of finding the standards. No I will not do that.. If every GL pieces gets sold out.. And the standard is finally found. I would be ok with it.. Because... Well I have the centerpiece!!
Anyway, all this talk.. Made me want to buy something Napoleonic that is British.. So 51 light here we go.. Hmm what should I buy first?? Well we all know the answer. The Standards!! And away I go.. And civility always fellow collectors.. Very light sarcasm. Possibly. But always respect..

Rutledge, Your pitiful sense of self importance is not only comical but delusional as well.{sm4}....You are NOT consider by me and likley most anyone else to be an expert on economics or quantitative analysis:rolleyes2:... So spare yourself and the thread your pontification and tedious verbal dribble. Have a great day

Dude, really??! Nowhere did I say I possessed expertise on economics or quantitative analysis. Absolutely nowhere. Please don't put words in my mouth. In fact, it was YOU that claimed extraordinary insight on the best course of action for First Legion's production line. I merely pointed out the absurdity of that very claim. I also noted that you had your own selfish reasons for the request, and that it was far from a non-self-interested act on your part, as you so lamely tried to claim.

PS: Im sure that "most anyone else" is "most pleased" that you have appointed yourself as their "most awesome" spokesperson.

Listen Dude :rolleyes2: you started to make this personal and it only serves to futher display your ignorance and sense of self importance....I have no selfish reasons for my views despite your not so clever and obvious distortion and manipulation of this discussion....I am no one's spokesperson and rest assured neither are you.

Sorry but I must disagree with this advise for Spartan...There is no guarantee that Spartan (or someone) will find a FL Highlander NAP flagbearer for a fair price (or maybe not one at all)....Why should he risk purchasing a set of FL NAP figures with no available flagbearer piece ^&confuse....I kmow that I personally would NOT do this and I would not advise it to anyone else.....First Find a Flagbearer at a fair price if possible:rolleyes2:.. ....I think that the Flickstarter Option is a good way to solve this dilemma ..... if there are MANY UNSOLD Highlander British NAPS it would be best for FL to re-issue a flagbearer even if it's not identical....This would not only help the collector but also help FL to sell $$$$ there remaining figures...... and revitaize interest in a line which otherwise may remain stagnant for a long long time without a flagbearer......This makes sense to benefit both collector and manufacturer's sales.....This is my last correspondence on this matter.... DONE, end of story...on to other and better things

Hi Frank,

What happened to the part of the quote above that I put in Bold letters. This one from last night.
The last sentence in your post.
Didn’t work? :wink2:
