PWeiss toy soldier auctions on ebay (1 Viewer)

Hi Damain,

There were some good lots in this pending auction and if you have the ability you could really make a good dent in the Durbar sets you were missing with several of them being very good sets and one elephant being the highly sought after 8848. So I think they will draw some relatively high prices but who knows you may get lucky. I'm in an Imperial battle right now and have doubts that I will come out on top but I am giving it a go so keep your fingers crossed for me.

All the best

Dave

Any idea what 8848 went for.

Damian

I missed the auction I bid on ,i,d hoped to bid on another lot live
but couldnt access E bay at the time.

Hi Brad et al
I,ve beeninto Trophy even before KandC and particularly the Sudan.
I did a lot better than I expected on the auctions. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason with prices all over the place.
Despite the exchang rate the commission plus full shipping cost and good old VAT in UK is gonna make this expensive.
Best not tell the wife or she's gonna want even more expensive Xmas pressies!!

Good for you Clive! I think I still have a few Trophy Egypt/Sudan sets lying around. If I scare any up I will set them aside for you as a door prize at the Symposium.

Thks Louis
That's an even bigger incentive to ensure I make it.
I'd better book the flights before I forget.

Damian and Dave,

Not being knowledgeable about Britain's I don't if this is expensive but it went off at $280. Here is the auction link.

There was also one other auction involving an elephant.

Thank you Brad. How do you get to the site once the auction is closed. I would like to see what all teh Trophy stuff went for.

The 8848 lot went real cheap, I threw in a 270 bid just for the heck of it and barely got outbid. I had thought of 350, but I have all the pieces and would have ended up either selling them or holding, so I went on the cheap and someone bested me! I did pick up some Alymer Rev War and a few other odd maker sets for relatively cheap. I have always done well with this seller.

Damian,

There are various ways of doing it. What I did for Trophy is to the Toy Soldiers section, put in the word Trophy and then checked completed auctions and got all Trophy completed auctions. Here is the link to all completed Trophy auctions, including the pweiss ones.

Since there are so much Britains, I got the Seller's name, went to advanced search, entered the seller's name and clicked on completed auctions for the last two days, which got me over 1000 hits but just checked each item by name until I saw Britains and looked at each one until I found the right one.

Anything I can to do to help, please let me know.

Damian,

Thanks. Should have put the two together as I have a LL Napoleonics set. I had never looked at the Sudan collection and some of that looks really great. Now, I just need to decide which.

I've finally taken Damian's advice :) and ordered one of Mike Norris' Camel Corps sets from Paul Herrmann of the Toy Soldier Shoppe. Looking forward to getting it.

Paul told me that Mike and his wife had a terrible personal tragedy early this year, the death of their little baby. My condolences go out to the Norrises.
