I'm reading about the Burma campaign..in particular the beautiful "Quartered safe out here" by my favourite author George Macdonald Fraser and ordered a few other books about that campaign (Slim's Defeat into Victory and a book about Kohima)..it's useless to say i've already bought Slim and Wingate figures but what about some other Club Figure?Maybe a Chindit?Or a tropical uniform Brit Soldier?I think many have already touched the issue of Japanese troops and Far East range.. so i'll avoid to ask again. Also i'd like to know if Andy has read the book i was talking and what he thinks about it..:)Thanks!

I had a few family members serve in the British army in Burma and I would be extremely happy if King and Country decided to make this theater of operations into a range.

...and on the American side: Merrill's Marauders

Merrill’s Marauders (named after its commander Frank Merrill) or Unit Galahad, officially named the 5307th Composite Unit (provisional), was a United States Army long range penetration special operations unit in the South-East Asian Theater of World War II which fought in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations, or CBI. The unit became famous for its deep-penetration missions behind Japanese lines, often engaging Japanese forces superior in number. Only 130 men (out of the 2,750 )were left after the Myitkyina campaign in Burma. The unit fought side by side with elements of the Nationalist Chinese Army, British Army and the local Gurkhas. Possible AFV's in this series/line are early M3 Stuart, 75mm pack howitzer, Warbird: P40 Warhawk and C-47. A lot of potential here. Attached are some unit photos...I like the mule trains.

look at the second marauder in the line and look at my TS model of a marauder scale 1/35,dogtag, cartridge pouch on the riflebutt. They are exactly the same .

Wonderful figures!!!Let's wait for Andy's reply, i noted there is a revival of interest for this neglected theatre of war...:)i see it from Osprey titles , and a great range of new books ..i'm really happy and i'm trying to read everything about this theme..it's one of the aspects of my collecting, seeing the story i read on books in 3D ..:)
