:) Hello Andy! Is it possible, for K & C to gives us N. Africa Die-Hard Collector's , 2 to 4-NEW Sets Every Month; for the DAK, and 8TH Army? And still Continue with other WW2 Sets, of your Choice? This way we will get to catch up for the Year, on Both Allied and Axis WW2 N. Africa Sets! Hope, this isn't going to Bankrupt your Company! We still don't have a 8 to12 Man (DAK ) Fighting Infantry?

John

You have to remember that K&C produce 17 ranges in their collection with some being around the 70 number per collection.

I think the way that Andy hits each range in turn is a very good way for all (collector, K&C and dealers)

It is great that you have th epurse available to buy every month but i am sure that this would cause a lot of stress on some others collectors pockets.

From a business perspective 'die hard' some of you guys may be, but unfortunatly (as i am not knocking it) there is not enough 'die hards' to make a production run as you suggest viable.

I like the AK range and have just finished a diorama for the new 105mm and SdKfz 11 looks awesome.

Then again John i am coming from the very lucky perspective that i buy everything and see everything that K&C do, so my 'die hard' interests are covered.:D

I bow to your passion for North Africa John:)

Monty, Monty, Monty; when will you understand toy soldier collecting?

It’s all a matter of priorities –
Toys first, eating second.
Toys first, mortgage or rent second.
Toys first, then stuff for the wife and kids (a true collector does not allow his life style to be interrupted by such things as wives and children).
Toys first, EVERYTHING ELSE SECOND.:D

Michael,

I agree with everything you said, but even taking all your conditions as a given, how in the world are we going to afford 4 sets of DAK and 8th Army a month, plus all the other new releases? I can barely afford to keep up as it is!

It's that bank thing that Monty spoke of.;)

It's a question of priorities for a toy soldier manufacturer and appealing to the widest possible basis. These threads frankly get tiresome. How about a thank you to Andy?

Ok then. Thank you Andy, for producing some of the best toy soldiers I've ever seen!:)

I agree. You can't just produce 4 sets a month. That's just madness, for the costumer and Andy...

Over production is a recipe for disaster in the collecting world as collectors either run out of money, give up trying to keep up, or just loose interest in a range.

Still musn't weaken on the Naploenics......

How about starting K&K anonymous? K&K widows and orphans....

That British cavalry looks fantastic...no....no.........

Speaking of K&C Napoleonic Cavalry, I just got a 1994 issue glossy mounted French Curassier on a Roan horse (the only mounted cavalryman from that early series). It is really quite well sculpted and painted for the time, and I am thrilled to finally add it to my collection.

As consumers, the dealers and manufacturers should be the one thanking us. We make their pocket books. As a marketing person I will never tire listening from my target market...this forum, in a way, has become an informal focus group of sort where manufacturers can glean to the pulse of the market...that's like getting free market research.

So, if you ever want an item produce, make that "joyful noise." I want this...and I want that, that's music to the ear of every manufacturers and their marketing guys.

OK then, I'll go with my question: can we expect a kubelwagon that we can display covered or uncovered within the next 18-24 months? Please!

Pierre.

I second the kubelwagon idea. I would love to see a new Kubel now that the wheeled polystone vehicles are nearly of the quality of the resin and metal vehicles of the past. The first polystone Kubelwagon was kind of a disappointment when compared to the earlier resin and metal version. I bet a new version would stand up to or maybe even compare favorably with the original.

Back in mid April Andy said the following: "Look out soon for a Panzer Lehr Self Propelled Gun as well as an army Kubelwagen and, later in the year, lots of Wehrmacht infantry and armour … plus a few surprises."

So, I think we'll be seeing that Kubelwagen. Of course Andy did say that we'd see some Pegasus paratroopers....;)

I agree it's long overdue, the quality has been there for a long time just look at one of my favorite sets FJ01 the swimwagen. The Kublewagen would be a great multi-theater example.
Speaking of multi- theaters, I'd sure like to see some U.S. north african forces. Not long ago I read "Army at Dawn" about the US north african campaign. Kinda dry in some places but the actual battle descriptions, against German Paras and describing advancing thru the passes and watching the 88 rounds raising sand roosts across the desert as they screamed to there targets really lit up the imagination.
