Maybe I'm just tilting at windmills, but as it is the 100th anniversary of the Race to the South Pole, I would like to see KC celebrate with an exclusive set of the five men who made the attempt to be the first men to the South Pole. Scott, Wilson, Bowers, Oates, and Evans died in the attempt to return safely after reaching the Pole only to find Amundsen and his team from Norway had been there first. It is a fantastic story from British history and I think it would make a wonderful issue. Figures, sleds, tents, and flags. Simple but moving. -- Al

Thanks, Mitch. Scott and Shackleton and the other South Pole explorers have always fascinated me and been heroes of mine. The KC treatment of this subject would be marvelous and appropriate. -- Al

We had minus 15 last winter here and, my god that was cold moving snow and salting and making sure the ducks on the pond were fed was enough for me. so, what these guys went through without the technical help and modern gadgets is stunning and awe inspiring
