Hello all,
Just picked up a beautiful Hawker Hurricane (RAF 007). Can some clarify if K&C's sister Hurricane, RAF 007-01, is more exclusive, or valuable than RAF 007; like a piece that has more value when coded (SL) strictly limited? Thanks in advance...Ollie_D.

its only slight variation in paint and markings etc that differs them and, the fact that release size was different. Surprisingly, they are not going for a huge amount of cash

Good insight, Mitch. In view of this economy, it's good to see somethings realistically meet a fair market value.

As far as the Hurricanes go, I can't say I prefer one over the other. The second version is twice as limited, and the first has more in the way of markings. I just got the 2nd version to go with the 1st version I bought when they came out. I think it looks great to have two sitting beside one another. If you want both this can be a good time to buy.

You know, that not a bad idea...two birds in the hands=better than one in the bush...something like that! I'll take two of those, barmaid!:D Ollie_D.

I opened a thread on this a few weeks ago myself. RAF007 features the silver 'nose ring' (for want of a better term) which after some research, seems to be a lot rarer a paint job than the way the nose is just painted camo on RAF007-01. Most of the Hurricanes you would have seen on the airfields of Britain would be painted like RAF007-01, and I personally prefer this variant out of the two. However, I did find a picture in an old book showing an example of a Hurricane with the 'nose ring' and it just so happens to be in the very same markings that K&C has used on RAF007.

I can't afford both but I have seen a great diorama (courtesy of Rob) with both together and they look fantastic...maybe when I have bought the rest of the range!

Great quote and wonderfully researched...love the dio in there as well! Many Thanks! Ollie_D.

I love that HOUSE that Gordon made - wish Andy would reproduced that House for a K&C DIORAMA Piece !

It would go great the others that have been made !! :)
