Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the kind and appreciate words on our Desert Air Force P40 and suggestions for a “Flying Tiger” version. We’ve heard you loud and clear and you will see a “Flying Tiger” P40 later in the year.

Now as promised here’s the “wee surprise”… The first Desert Air Force figures… As you can see there’s a pair of RAF “Erks” in tropical uniform… Air Vice Marshal Arthur Coningham, Commander of the Desert Air Force and a pair of RAF pilots… Hope you like them. All the best,

Andy

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Very nice. Will we now see the fuel truck to go with it ?

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Splendid figures Andy, just what we'll need to get our RAF North Africa campaign off the ground. Look forward to adding these to the growing ranks of the RAF in the near future. Thanks for posting and enjoy the show.

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Those are some great looking desert RAF figures Andy. They go along very nicely with the P-40. Also, glad to hear about the upcoming Flying Tiger P-40, look forward to seeing it soon.

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Must say its good to see a figure of Sir Arthur Coningham. He played a huge role in developing joint operations in WW2 between Air force/Army, his ideas and close relationship with Monty resulted in the RAF playing a very important role in the second Battle of Alamein in 1942. (although his relationship became strained during the Normandy campaign). He disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle on a flight in early 1948 and no trace was ever found of his body , the plane or any of the other passengers.

I very much enjoy collecting ' personality' figures so {bravo}} K&C

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Wooo hoooo!!!! Where do I pre-pay for the AVG version? {sm3}

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Wow that was fast! :cool: We just got over discussing how awesome the new P-40 is and how collectors now were looking forward to some accesories and figures to dress it up and presto we've got some....and they look great. Good work K&C! {bravo}}

Re: “Desert AirForce Add-Ons”

Andy, that was no wee surprise...that was a GREAT SURPRISE! The desert fuel bowser you previously announced will be a another great add-on.

In re the P-40 AVG, this group utilised the early version (with grill-slats)Early_1941_Willys_MA.jpg of the Willy's jeep...this will also be a good add on for this series.

Thanks
