Crap ! I missed this one . I will most definitely be checking this one out . I remember back in sept while in germany seeing in the window of a closed shop a Prussian Cannon Crew with caisson and horses along with some Uhlan figures does anyone know who makes this ? Gebhard

Plus all of the other components of a "whole French battery"?, to wit:
Manpower of the French battery:
- one company of gunners
- one company of drivers from the artillery train

Equipment of French foot battery:
- cannons: 6
- howitzers: 2
- wagons: 24 (each drawn by 4-6 horses)

French battery's carriages:


8 gun carriages

2 spare gun carriages

2 carriages for tools

6 ammunition wagons for cannons

4 ammunition wagons for howitzers

2 ammunition wagons accompanied the infantry combat units

Yes, I was going to go there, but I thought it was a FAR stretch to see that done by any maker except for 1/72 plastic or wargames figures.

Paper strength I know.But it would be nice to see!

Let's see. 54mm factory painted metal in matte finish French cannons and crews. Line foot, yes- several available.
Guard foot, same. Guard Horse sets, x2 I know of.
Line horse arty------ None I am aware of.That would be my choice!
Very interested to see whatever it may be.
I have room for one more 6x8' table and would therefore, need to fill it with troops.

I am totally amazed that I got this right. I have the Conte Confederate battery, and it is one of my favorite sets of soldiers. It will be very interesting to see what they do in the Napoleonic range.

Congrats 6th Wisconsin. Nice win. A whole French battery of 8 guns. I am sure glad I don't do Napoleonics. The cost of this might warrant a second (or third) mortgage on the old homestead. -- lancer

The Confederate battery is only 3 guns and came in 3 sets, whose bases form a whole. Plus there was a smaller officer and flag set that attached. I will post some photos when I get a chance to take some. I think UK Reb had some in his great diorama photos.
