I note the post was closed, started new one, not a cheap hobby as an Australian I will stop buying from the US dealers and buy from the UK or direct from maker, pretty ridicuolous if add 20%

shame , it a hobby we all enjoy, but these things will make it unaffordable to many , even collectors in the US

It would be nice to have dealers in Australia who do not put extra on RRP, I will not buy from them.

Let's see where it all ends up and what happens to prices. The latest Team Miniatures mounted Ottonan figures I have pre ordered are now $148 each compared with around $100 per mounted figure a couple of years ago from the same company.

Prices are rising regardless of tariffs and I am sure will continue to do so. We can only buy what we can afford and where it is cheaper.

When I first started collecting toy soldiers in 2001 the £ was strong against the $ and even with import duties it was cheaper to buy from the States than from the UK with 20% VAT in Blighty. That shifted many years ago but I still try to support US dealers where I can.

Don't forget about GST, that adds 10% to the RRP in Australia, most Australian dealers add 10%, some add a bit extra, while others use 'creative' conversion rates from the USD price. The result is a significant price variation here, which is why a number of Australian collectors buy direct from King & Country Hong Kong.

The secondary market here is mostly ebay, and they now charge the seller 13.4% on the sale price Plus the postage amount.

Mate, except for Brett when he was with us and Howard when he was a dealer, the rest all charge ridiculous prices, and I refuse to buy from them.

Right; let's see where it all ends up and what happens to prices.

I've spoken to all manufacturers that I buy wholesale from, none of them have any plans of "raising prices by 20%", no clue where people are getting that from, nor do any dealers in the US that I've spoken to plan to raise prices by 20%.

We as dealers in the US sell off a set MRP, if we decide on our own as individual dealers to go and raise prices, customers will simply shop elsewhere/with dealers who choose not to raise prices.

It's way too early in the tariff game to get a real handle on where any of this is going, so let's all take a breath and wait and see what happens.

Dont have that option here mate and spend a small fortune on postage

Understood; as dealers in the US, we get hammered pretty good on shipping from China and the UK just to get the goods here, those rates continually go up and that cost comes right off the top of our profits.

There are several of us on the East coast of the country who get hit the hardest from China/the goods have to travel the furthest, goods from the UK works in the opposite, dealers on the West Coast get hit the hardest.
