Not sure when new dragoons will be released when you ask a question about things other than WWII sometimes it can take forever to get an answer. Not an argument point its just the way it is.

yes i am thinking to start collecting the Real west, but for now it is only 8 figures and i am hoping new figures will be released soon?
Will be there any sets?
Any diorama pieces,buildings,forts,farm houses,mines,trains,bufalo,cactus,indian village,...?

Today I had the great pleasure of seeing the Real West Indian's at Toy Troops (in Huntington Beach, CA) today, and I have to say they are really spectacular! Great job yet again K & C! I'm not as fond of the Dragoons, but they are actually quite nice as well. But all of the indian figures are full of amazing detail, and each sems to tell it's own story. Like all of us, I have space and monetary limitations, but it is going to be VERY difficult to "fend" off these wonderful figures. Congrats K & C on these great creations. I also like how they are a bit of a smaller scale, like your Crusaders & Saracens. I suppose, again like the Cross and the Crescent line, this is so your figures will mix well with other manufacurer's existing lines. I say good call indeed! Again, your highly detailed indians are quite impressive. I look forward to future releases from the Real West line. :)

Joe,

How is Toy Troops as a store (are they big, what lines do they carry etc)? They don't have a website as far as I can tell.
I live in LA, and other than Toy Soldiers of San Diego and a store in Torrance that escapes my name, I wasn't aware that there were any toy soldier stores in the area. If you know of any other stores in the LA area, I'd love to know.

Thanks,

Mark

I've dealt with Toy Troops and I believe they are small, a part time business. However, Bill Muesing is great to deal with.

Aleš, What do you collect or prefer: matte or gloss?

Like the photo on the left or the right? :)

Haha,i know the diference betwen matte or gloss.
I collect matte. But this gloss indians look very nice too.Who made them?
I think it will look funny if i mix them with matte but they really look so cool.I hope King and country (or some other company) will make something like this in matte too.
You also collect wild west period?

Hi Aleš, Mostly I collect gloss. The gloss figures you see in the photo are from WM Hocker ... http://www.wmhocker.com/
the site for the wild west is www.wmhocker.com/index.php?s=wildwest

But I do have a few matte figures like the ones below. These are made by Frontline

Hey thanx, this really looks great, both accualy gloss and matt.
Hm,i really like this gloss too like the indian vilage, bufalo hunt,...but i am worry that it will not look nice mix with matt and gloss together, but i always dream to build a very big diorama so maybe i can put them in to one corner the indian vilage, bufalo hunt,...and in other corner a town with sherif,laundry,saloon,...and than at north woodland indians,at south apache,....that way i can use both matt and gloss, but it will cost me a lot of monney and take me a lot of space,...but if i get the chance i will make this diorama for a museum or something:D

yes, it's good to expand this line as I'm a super fan for the Real West
I already collected ALL Real West figures from K&C
Indian village and farm houses sounds good!!!

We can only hope! It would be nice to see at least two large releases per year.

Hi Aleš, My advice/opinion is to buy slowly. There's no rush. Be sure you really like the figures and will like them in a few years. I wouldn't mix matte and gloss. The gloss figure next to the matte figure looks like it has a lightbulb in it. It's got to be one or the other. Not both together.

Making and painting tents can't be that hard. Making the first one might be trouble but after it should go smoothly. Unless you're super rich, don't rush. Maybe a great wild west series will be out next year :)

On another tack, I remember reading that there are Indian reenactors in Germany. They get together, dress up, build villages and so on. There's also a big toy soldier show in Germany, maybe you know about it. It's on every two years on odd numbered years and so this summer.

Kulmbach Zinnfigurenbörse, Kulmbach GERMANY, 4 days in mid August on odd numbered years. Frau Sonja Decker, email

Have a look here http://books.google.com/books?id=8u...X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9#PPA547,M1

Hey Russell thanx!!!!!
I didnt know about this people in Germany get dressed up like indians and all that, but sure sound nice.I must check out this on the internet for any more informations because i think it must be great to hang out with them.I do not think i will dress up(maybe next time haha),but i will like to see what is the camp look like, talk with people, make som ephotos,....it must be great like one big picnic-grill party.
Thank you also for telling me about this toysoldier show in Germany,so now i do not need to go to the London at the end of june, and i will rather visit this one in Germany-it is more closer for me and i can go by car.
Yes,i agree there is no rush buying ALL the figures because i think the waiting, thinking about the figures, planing what to buy,...is sometimes more fun than when figures arive, and after one month you forgot them, and think about other figures,...so it is immportant to buy smart and enjoy looking at them after few months,years,...i think good diorama is very help that figures are stay interesting.I still have some of the figures never take out from the box,so if i think better than this will not happened haha.
I already looking forward to that ToySoldier show in Germany.I hope i can find some website so that i can read more about this.
Thanx!

hm,i also do not understand german language.
Yes about the prices it is always the question which is better:
-order from USA is good because the Euro is stronger than dolar which make figures cheaper but than it is 20 percent of tax and the shipment which make price higher
-if i buy in Europe the prices are higher than in USA because the shop owner must also earn some monney,....
But it is also hard to find a shop owner that have all the products i am interested, like if he have King and Country than maybe he will not have black Hawke,etc,....Maybe it is the best to order straight from the company who produce figures but than also if i order from the company i must pay the shipment which is 20 percent of the total price plus another 20 percent of tax,....but if i buy here from treefrogtreasure there is shipment for free if i buy for more than 250 USD which normaly do,but than is this tax and i need longer time to wait for figures to arive.
Does anyone have the website of BlackHawke?
I wannt to order some Custer last stand figures from them but i can not find them on the internet.Like they do not have a store or something? Because there is a lot of other stores that sale their products but i will like to see their website, original website.Anyone?

On my excursion down to TFT today, among other things I had a chance to look at some of these figures up close and must say I was pleasantly surprised. I was less surprised at how much I liked the Indian figures, and more so was really impressed with the cavalry figures. Photos do not do these items complete justice, so despite my earlier misgivings about this range, I just may be adding these to the line up after all as funds permit. Highly recommended stuff.

Cheers,
MD

I agree with you Dave. I have a couple of these and think they're very well done.

anyone know anything new about the wild west(when can we expekt new figures, how much new figures, what type,...)
