Guys its OK
In June we have booked ZZ top come back tour and a fire eater!! Steve keep your plastics away from the fire eater!!
Show boring!! carnt help there it is what it is a TOY SOLDIER show! as the guys say you make of it what you do. We have tried many things in the past to change the show from what it was, but have not continued for lack of interest!! these being talks and demos, but we still have the toy soldier war games. Re inactors are great but we have tried many differant types.
However the reports we get from a lot of 'punters' is that they find some amazing stuff at the show and find the mix of tables great.in fact we have each show more and more new traders coming from more and more places and carrying items of differant types. Steve would be better placed to comment on the plastic side of the show against PW as of course we dont go to PW to comapre. However PW editor was a speaker at one of our shows at our question time and there were no plastic collectors in our small crowd!!........which was well advertised.
March was slightly lacking in punter numbers due to the media scare mungering that London was going to be closed down and trains a mess etc!! this did also contribute to a couple of traders leaving early due to again concerns! Every show the Belgium chappies tend to leave early as they always have a show the next day and have to catch an early ferry. better they are there until 3 then not at all. Sometimes a few of the 'one man band' traders leave as they can make and easy escape before the main clear down.
Sorry for the reaction you have recieved on here but i guess the problem with making a public statement you get a public responce!
By the way in the past you guys must have missed the Arnhem vet talking about his WWII adventures, Terry Brighton talking about Crimea, jason Salkey talking about Sharpe series etc.........again an attempt to increase the perzaz of the show
looking out for sparklers and a party poppers in June.
And lets not forget if WE had not taken on the London Toy Soldier show 6 years ago there would be NO London Toy soldier show now!
