Thank you Mark, Zach and Pat. Zach may be right. I may be heading down a bad path.

Pat helped introduce me to Medallion. I suppose I should thank him ^&grin

These are exquisite figures and can't wait to add more figures from Medallion. I was interested in this figure because I lived in Spain and am interested in Spanish history.

On top of this, Glen and Judy from Medallion are super nice people, as Pat can well attest.

Finally broke down and bought this in Chicago. I have been staring at it in the curio cabinet ever since I got it. By far the best purchase I made in Chicago.

I have always loved that vignette! I have it as well and find myself constantly admiring it! Nice purchase!

Hi Brad,

Ha! ^&grin I suppose I should say, "You're welcome." :rolleyes2::wink2:

In my opinion, the figures produced by Medallion Miniatures are absolutely outstanding. Many of the figures they produce are unique and are not found among the offerings of other companies. If you happen to attend a show at which Glen and Judy are present, you owe it to yourself to take a look at their figures. At the very least, you will greatly enjoy viewing them.

Glen and Judy are very special people and, indeed, they are super nice. As you get to know them, you will be attracted to them as much as you are attracted to their wonderful figures. They are especially devoted to one another which makes knowing them all the more special.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

This beauty is Kublai Khan from AeroArt/St.Petersburg Collection #EW13. This is the prototype figure of the upcoming Elite Warrior Series #13. The EW series are limited to 100 pieces. I was speaking with Thor about this figure (before it was available) and he told me that the production figure will probably look a bit different. He liked the way the painting looks, but felt it wasn't very historically accurate. I grabbed it because I thought it looked great and I also love having the prototypes. I am very interested to see what changes are made when it is released. Sorry for so many pictures, but I really like this Kublai figure....

This is Ogedei Khan w/ Sword from AeroArt/St.Petersburg Collection #6368

I regrettably don't know much about the Mongols at all, but these new figures have gotten me very interested. I am going to do some reading and learn soon. TO me this is a great part of this hobby. I read so much about things I didn't even know I was interested in!!!!

Interesting figures, strange that they used the same head sculpt to represent both Kublai and his son Ogedei, both the sculpts are a dead ringer for the English actor Benedict Wong who played the part of Kublai in the wonderful Marco Polo series for Netflix a few years back. The Armor is also exact copies of that worn by Wong in the series. Cool figures nicely done, no doubt the sculptor was like me a fan of the series. :wink2: Nice Additions Gebhard

I was surprised they used the same head as well. Since kublai is a prototype, I am hoping that they change the head on the production figure.

Howdy! I didn't have time right now to post in both areas. I have a bunch of new Russian pieces that I just posted in the "Zach's Collection" section of the forum. Sorry to go the lazy route, but on my way out the door and wanted to get the new stuff posted.
