Hi Guys,

Inspired by many of the displays featured in this Forum and others I decided to ‘have a go’ myself with some of K&C’s Israeli Defence Force figures and fighting vehicles.

In this instance the year is 1978 and Israeli forces have moved into southern Lebanon to combat Palestinian guerrilas, supported by Syria, who have been staging attacks into northern Israel. Here Israeli paratroopers backed up by some heavy armour are going house to house, street by street to ferret-out their Palestinian opponents.

The Syrian T55 just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!

All the best
Andy

Was hoping for Some new TIGER pics in force but hey this is just as good Andy.

Although not my theatre of operations, I love your display, Andy.
In addition to collecting your WWII aircraft, I very much enjoy adding your buildings and facades to my collection. IMO they are world class! :salute::

Agree the buildings shown are stunning and again I hope K&C can make them as future additions to the Desert Village series.

‘Reconnaissance-In-Force’ TV Recommendations

Hi Guys,

Another of the reasons for posting this little diorama was my enjoyment of a couple of terrific TV shows out of Israel which I have enjoyed over the last couple of years.

VALLEY OF TEARSis the superb series about the 1973 Yom Kippur War and features the tanks battles for the disputed Golan Heights between the Israelis and the Syrians.

An outstanding series which you can find on HBO.

My other favourite Israeli series is on NETFLIX and it’s called... ‘FAUDA’ and tells about the exploits of an Israeli undercover unit that often poses as Arabs / Palestinians to go after Hamas / Hezbollah. It’s incredibly violent but also hyper realistic and realistically portrays the good and the bad of both sides and explains some of the very complex and confusing attitudes and issues that influence all of the protagonists.

Well worth watching for anyone interested in that part of the world.

All the best and… Enjoy!

Andy

P.S. ‘FAUDA’ is arabic for ‘CHAOS’.
Series 4 of this has just premiered on NETFLIX.

Awesome display and i agree with the others that this building would be a welcome addition to my desert town….. i have more buildings and walls than a village!

This is one of my favorite ranges and highly anticipated.
I was not disappointed when it was released!
I have multiples of all the vehicles and would love to see some
additional figures of Egyptians/Syrians/Palestinians to counter
the more numerous Israeli figures. An Israeli M113 APC would
also look great with these sets.
Thanks for a great Range.
