We realy need some Russian armour. We need a big push by the U.S members as they buy the most and K&C will listen.Dollars always talk and let all the collectors voice there opinions here about more Russian armour. It is so much a big part of WW2 why is it not wanted by most collectors.Any thoughts any ideas .Simmo.

I very much like the Armour (the T34 is superb and one of my favourite tanks)and i wouldn't mind some more Russian armour. Its just the figures i'm not interested in so much.As for the wider picture i think its probably because the European theatre of ops and the War in North Africa are so popular that other ranges are bound not to do so well.lts not only the Russian releases that have sold less,Iwo Jima for instance.I thought IJ would be a huge seller with our American friends, but it hasn't turned out that way. There is also a perception that the huge Russian effort in WW2 in lives and machinery is just not appreciated as perhaps it should be.Put this altogether and there you have it.

Shame these don't sell more, I only recently got the current american IWJ and the level of detail in the figures was fantastic as are the poses. Some of the best quality K&C WWII figures. I wasn't a huge fan of the newer Jap-anese :D prefering the older sculpts for poses etc. I live in hope of the russian range getting extended but amn't holding my breath. The russians had a variety of different coloured camoflage outfits that I'm sure K&C could make a fanatstic job of, and might increase their popularity as regards visual appeal...and there are plenty of cool russian tanks that could be done or redone. Would be very very very nice to see.

A KV1 or an IS-2 would be cool. But i guess Andy has got to make what he knows will sell well.Must be quite a task sitting down to decide what to make next. You have to consider your own interests, interests of collectors and what you think will sell, can't be easy.

The Majority of the collectors come from USA and Commonwealth countries, so there is not much interesting on the East, this is a business don’t forget.

i agree that the Russian effort in WW2 is vastly underrated in the U.S. It must not be forgotton that the Russians tied up 75% of German military efforts leaving their efforts against the western allies as basicly a delaying war. that being said, Russian armor is interesting, well worth collecting, but our former ally and Cold War adversaries just do not hold our interests as we naturally are more interested in western efforts against the Germans. finally, i believe that the enormous scope of the eastern front is just overwhelming, in numbers and area, making study a little more difficult. Western views, be they allied or axis, are just a fact in the U.S.- lancer

I don't think there will be any new Russians because they don't do to well.

I believe that Andy came out and said there would be no more Russians in the 25th anniversary ed of Collector. In the final article, he compared production to filmmaking. The fact is, Russian Army stuff simply doesn't sell. I'm just thankful that I already have the RA collection. They're beautiful.

I agree that another Russian tank would be cool. I own two (!!) T-34/85s. There was no way I could pass it up with the "bedspring" armor. If you can get your hands on the piece, do it.

I would be most interested in a JS-II with a Berlin scheme (white stripe on the turret). I think an updated version of the Hitler Youth with the SU-85 would sell big.

Common Guys , More Russian Armour Would Be Great. Imagine A Big Su-152 In Berlin Crossing The Spree River. Andy , If Your Listening I Know A Couple Of Nice Russian Sets Would Sell Well. Hope To See A Few Next Year.

I just got that T-34, which I had wanted since I first got into WWII figures a few months ago, along with a couple of the Russian soldier sets (bought from a Treefrogger). They are top notch and really look great with the K&C Chancellery buildings as a backdrop. I am not surprised that the Russian stuff doesn't sell as well, but the products K&C has put out so far are super nice.

Yeah I had just gotten my T-34. But you are not going to see anything in the near future with Russian vehicles. Guaranty will not sell very well.

On the bright side, it means that any Russian vehicles you own will probably have good resale value at some point.

Here is a great idea why doesn't K&C do a Russian tank as a limited edition with break through soldiers riding low on it.Say 750 or 1250 something he can do without him starting a new series.Everyone will be happy he will make money & the Russian collectors will be happy and everyone will win.Andy you have the last and only say here as to what you make so please reply with a maybe.Simmo.

This is an excellent idea. I am convinced that it will sell out in a few months only. For the last three months we have had a lot of demands concerning the East Front, specially for Tanks and Artillery, there was even a POLL won by the Battle of Kursk http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9402

Rod.

Anyone got the HB capture Panther in Red Army markings.
It looks kinda good to me.

That poll certainly indicated good interest in sets based on the Kursk battle, but I guess it's once bitten twice shy for K & C on Russian stuff for a while.

You are maybe right Oz, but I am still thinking that a few TANKS from both sides (Germans & Russians) will sell easily.

Cheers:)

I have that one. A really interesting item. The colors are a bit drab, but it has a very realistic feel. I can't imagine they sold a whole lot given the three HB Panthers and KC Panther that were released around the same time. One of my favorite KC tanks is the captured T-34.

i keep hearing that the Fall of berlin or the Russkis doesnt sell well, but until now i can't seem to purchase the Fall of berlin Russkis T34.

maybe the series is just underrated.
