Thanks mate you can come over one day and check it out if you want.

Watch those shadows on the backdrop. I thought that carriage would make a good scene with the French marching up to it to sign the papers for the fall of France. As usual great clear shots Wayne, you must still be laid up from work, but must be due back soon, cheers, Robin.

Thanks Robin and i need to get some lights, thus dio stuff is getting serious....................^&grin

Here are some pics to show just how big this beauty is,and this is just the carriages.

Really like the train scenes Wayne. These would work for other era's also. Have a dual spot light on a telescopic stand, Bunnings have them for under $100, cheers, Robin.

Ahh, the choo, choo train carriages have made their way across the Nullarbor! Hope they didn't hold up the Indian Pacific to much!^&grin

Excellent pic's and pick-up mate!

Tom

Gota say the rattler is a rip snorter, now for an engine?.....:rolleyes2:
Wayne.

Regards an engine for your train....are they available ? and what would you estimate the length...with tender....height (approx the height of a passanger carriage...maybe a bit higher) and how wide ..the Yanks have large scale loco's....maybe one would fit your track scale.....cost... I have no idea.....you would not need one that works,,,,,,the down side could be they are a much larger scale..and... even with the right scale the dio with engine etc would take up a lot of space.....some of the Yanks on the forum would known about their large scale trains,,,,,maybe they could advice you on scale ...availability...etc.........my knowledge on trains only runs to the 1/72 scale and that is now way out of date due to the rediculist price of trains now......just a thought....TomB

Not cheap,,,you known what the price of a good 1/72 elect train is now ...$1000 and up.....I dont buy trains no more ........... I now have a photo of the correct type of loco that would fit your dio....if your interested ....would you send me the details of your carriages,, HEIGHT....WIDTH ...LENGTH....track gauge.. and any photos you might have....I would not mind having a go at making one...I have my own 1/72 stuff I can work from ..that a good start....not nothing to do at the moment,,,,,I have often thought of doing one but was not clued up enough....got a bit more experience now,,,,worth a try,,,can only stuff it up.....TomB

Wayne...

Very nice and, I particularly liked the officer conference in the car. I only have the Karl and carriers and, I know how big that is look forward to more pics

Saw their pic in the catalogue ....very nice.....would it be what is called a war class loco ?... At 2-10-0...it has a lot of wheels not to mention the tender.... must have been a heavy haul freighter I would guess.....like to be able to afford to buy one... it would be massive along side the few remaining 1/72 locos I have...that said..I would still like to have one.....TomB

It's only money after all, but for me it would be space issues as well. This whole set deserves to be permanently displayed and for that you would need your own man cave, lacking in my case. So I will be content watching others getting the pleasure out of train diorama's. cheers, Robin.
