While, I am glad that we Got the M3-Grant, And Mind You I applaud the French Legionaires Figures. There has been Somewhat, a real lack of pieces for the Eight Army, I just got exited that We have the tank and was looking forward to buying more pieces for it. But, was Dissapointed, that there was no continuation to that excitement. There has been over 70 Afrika Korp pieces (some are marching, But still over 70), The Eight Army Has had just over 50 pieces( which has a Band, The SaS {sorry not regular soldiers They are special forces, do love them though}, Pieces that are marching, saluting, and the french legionaires), which leaves just under 30 Regular army pieces.
While I am extremely happy with the Grant I am getting, It was not enough. I do hope next year, if there are Eight Army releases, I hope none are marching, saluting, Not special forces. And strickly British, to avoid an excitement that became A Dissapointment.

I agree was really looking forward to getting new british troops for the 8th army, never mind maybe next year!?!!

Hi Guys,

Whilst I hate to disappoint any collector I do feel Spartan71 is being a wee bit unfair…

I’ve noticed that for some collectors enough is never enough … especially if it happens to be their particular sphere of collecting!

K&C has a broad spectrum of ranges and series to add on to throughout the year… It’s impossible to do everything to please everybody and so we have to spread out releases over different periods of time.

As far as the disparity of Afrika Korps to Eighth Army we structure a large part of our release strategy on collector feedback and actual sales… and guess what? We sell more AK than EA… and so we tend to release more of what most collectors actually buy… that’s just plain old common sense.

As it happens I can assure Spartan that there are more releases scheduled for both Eighth Army and Afrika Korps throughout 2011 and beyond. But please show a little understanding and… a wee bit more patience!

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Andy C.

Andy mate,
I am a patience man but the words "TOBRUK" and the "9th Aussie Division" would be sweet, sweet music to my ears in the year 2011.:D
Cheers Howard:)

Think of the bunkers that could be made to accompany the troops at this seige!!!

The only thing at the moment I would like to see Andy revisit would be the 25ILB gun for me, its the iconic desert piece well, along with the 88mm so, toss one of those in the mix and not many EA/AK collectors will be doing any other than smile more than they are now

Could not agree more.

Will we ever see a Humber armoured car, surely one of the iconic vehicles of the 8th Army?

Sorry, Andy. Just had to nudge you a bit. Do not doubt, that I will keep buying what ever WWII stuff (I got the Snow Tiger,Focke Wulf, The LCVP , Firefly, Drum Horse, Etc ,and waiting for the 88 From Mike And Mishka For 2010) Be It BoB, DD, AK, Hoping for a lot of EA, Can not forget about the Crusaders, Civil War. Just because I am most loyal to KC.
