Hey fellas:

Over the weekend I was messing around with my KC GWOT (SF) figures and my FOV Modern armor and got to thinking up some new diorama schemes and have been eyeing up the Figarti modern figures for the past few months. Tell me, does Figarti retire figures like KC does or do they just simply run out and people are left to figure it out on their own?? I am just trying to gauge how quickly I may need to purchase some of these figures.

Thanks guys,
Chris

CC,

Can't answer you in relation to the retirement issue, but would say - Get Some! They're a good fit for the FOV vehicles and have got some cool poses. They also seem to be getting harder to come by, although whether that's due to retirement or sellers not re-stocking, I don't know.

Chris, before Figarti started doing 1-30th, the modern figures were by far my favorite Figarti sets.
I know a few dealers had some on sale a while back.
And they go perfectly with the FOV vehicles.
I also have the buildings and dio pieces Figarti did for that series.

My guess is that when Figarti runs out, you have to figure it out!

On the Figarti website, sets that have all been shipped out to dealers are labeled as "retired.":)

Has anyone "figarti it out" yet as regards retirements. You see very little on e-bay, anyone know dealers with old stock, thinking of their Jap artillery in 1/32 or Jap tanks.

On that note I wonder if Rick has any plans for the pacific in 1/30 , dosen't look like it was a big seller for K&C who appear to be dismantling their Pacific line and dosen't seem to be a HB/CS/Patriot thing to do.

Hi Red,

I like that "Figarti it out"! No plans right now to do 1/30 Pacific....if we do any Pacific, it would be in our FM32 or 1/32 series. AS for the Japanese Type 1 Chi Ha Tank, its long gone and I would be surprise to see it pop up on ebay because we simply made VERY VERY few of them (Less than 90) A lot of history with Figarti and that tank as it was our very FIRST tank made and basically started our industry in thinking out of the box at different ways to add details to armor vehicles. This tank also got Louis to make his very first purchase from Figarti! I loved our Chi Ha tank and remember very well the process of designing; how to make it and how to change the way things are done in our hobby. I remember we deciding on using metal wheels and tracks, which at that time even minichamps weren't using. I only have one Chi Ha at our factory display room and my Dad has one at his home. If there are collectors out there who may have an extra one, I would love to have one more back.

i was hoping maybe Figarti could produce 1 or 2 special 1/30 figures based on the pacific theater. (just like the special german figure - Master and Faithful Friend)

an iconic figure like kamikaze pilot (pic - LT Seki: The first ever man who did the Kamikaze attack) would be great.

Rick,

I have 2 of them, but 1 I had to repair, it looks and displays fine, but it has a few battle damage repairs. Wonder if we could work a trade if that would interest you. I still need the Japanese set 4013 (Communications).

Now this would be a neat trade, (trading with the manufacturer).

We met at the Symposium and had dinner at Larry's. I am the guy who is interested in a custom tank from a certain movie!

I am open to suggestions. What else do you have left over in the vault?????

I remember a great scene out of Spielberg's "empire of the sun" with the Kamikaze pilots doing the ceremony and starting up the engines on the zero's, would make a pretty cool scene , but don't see it as being too popular in the american market ! Those pilots were as popular as the SS..then again..:D

Thanks for the info Rick, the Chi Ha does look pretty cool as do the artillary pieces , sounds like the pacific just dosen't attract enough collectors
