Was waiting for the paint to dry on a few pieces and thought I would post a pair of dioramas I did a few years ago and don't recall posting on the forum. One is modeled on Don Troiani's print "Retreat by Recoil" and shows the 9th Massachusetts battery as it defended the area near the Peach Orchard and Trostle farm on the afternoon of July 2nd, 1863. And the companion diorama of the "Boys Battery" or Richmond (Virginia) Parker's Battery is based on after action reports and depicts them engaging on counter battery fire on the Peach Orchard and Trostle farm. Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks everyone, it is good to be back posting on the forum, and I see a lot of great stuff on here lately that inspired me to start posting again. Have expanded to WW2 of late and been working on a diorama to display the WW2 Britain's as well as some of my trains. Will post some images soon.

Yes, very well done. Your picture conveys the order.

Thanks Steve, was trying to capture that moment. The 9th got into a bad spot in the corner of that field and wanted to match the intensity of the original print by Don.
