I think this is my third variation on this same basic scene featuring First Legion’s excellent winter M10 Wolverine model with the accompanying US Army tank rider and infantry figures. In this version, I’ve rearranged the trees and added a couple more infantry figures to represent the full set of First Legion’s “Battle of the Bulge” US Army figures.

My diorama is loosely based on this historical photo (colorized) of a whitewashed M10 from the 773rd Tank Destroyer Battalion operating near Benonchamps, Belgium, on January 21, 1945, during the latter part of the Battle of the Bulge.

What a beast of a tank. Looking good T-Man. Love these winter scenes, esp. one featuring an impressive vehicle. The tank riders and other figures look great as well. Overall, a perfect set-up.

Thank you all for the kind compliments on my display! However, it wouldn’t look half as good were it not for the excellent work done by First Legion on their M10 and figures as well as the winter foliage from JG Miniatures (they make the best pine trees!)

Thanks for the info about the winter foliage, I was going to ask about it.

Yeah, the trees and bushes are JG Miniatures products; however, the new Sheffield Miniatures products should be pretty similar. Personally, I like how they do their pine trees as they look more realistic than the conical “Christmas Tree” type firs other manufacturers make.
