RIP Harry Morgan (1 Viewer)

A great actor and one of the unforgettable characters of M.A.S.H.
I hope Colonel Potter was able to take his beloved horse Sophie with him.

Great actor. I remember him as Bill Gannon, Joe Friday's reliable partner. His Col. Potter is a TV icon. RIP. -- Al

He pulled off the rare tv double dip, establishing not one but two memorable characters, usually it's one and done, but he was able to do it.

Remember him from early '60s show Pete and Gladys. Will be missed. Chris

Yep! Pete and Gladys.

Also in High Noon...

Yes an unforgettable character.....Rest in Peace Colonel Potter....we salute you

Harry also was Marshal Theibadeau in The Duke's last movie, "The Shootist". Had a great line when talking to the Books character, "What I'll do on your grave won't pass for flowers." -- Al

As Mayor Olly Perkins in Support your Local Sheriff: I wanted you to meet my daughter, Sheriff. She's a good cook, a mighty fine looking girl. Takes after her dear, departed mother.

Jason McCullough: Mother died, huh?

Mayor Ollie Perkins: Nope, she just departed.

Mayor Olly Perkins: [talking about Prudy] She's had some terrible shocks this year. She got wealthy almost overnight - I think maybe it unhinged her a little bit. Then she was always kind of big for her age and "pooberty" hit her hard - that'll do it you know.

Jason McCullough: I didn't know that.

Mayor Olly Perkins: Well, it will!
