Anyone else watching it? In my opinion one of the best things on tele right now.

I've seen all 7 episodes so far and I love it. The one that just finished was the first part of a two parter to finish the series

As the series is set in 1889 I was disappointed to see them using 1897 Winchester Pump Shotguns in the episode a couple of weeks ago but apart from that it gets a big Thumbs Up from me {bravo}}

Cheers

I've been watching it. We're only up to episode 5 so far. Forensics
a bit fanciful. but that seems to be the trend with a lot crime programs.

Yeh there was the episode about the poisoner, where Sgt Drake said he was fighting in Egypt ten year ago. If he'd said five it would have been better, but I don't suppose most viewers even know the British army was in Egypt! I like the language though it's more "period" than a lot of programmes, it annoys me when you hear turn of the century people saying "ok"!:)

"On 23 March 1839, OK was introduced to the world on the second page of the Boston Morning Post, in the midst of a long paragraph, as "o.k. (all correct)."

Here's an interesting reference. Those **** Yanks messed up the King's English.{sm4}

How much bigger the world was then, it took a century for the a world, spoken in English, to move to England. Now a music video can have teenagers (nearly said "kids" that's another one of your:)) repeating a word in a matter of days!

Quite right Martin:salute::

Sgt Drake kept getting flashbacks about the Battle of El Teb, but there would only have been a 5 year gap as the battle was on 29th February 1884

Cheers
