Here's another low budget Aussie Horror flick you may have missed; 'Carnifex'.
Carnifex was released in 2022 and stars an extinct (maybe) Marsupial Lion. The first half is a bit preachy with Environmental and Aboriginal issues plus the usual Goofy and Toxic male characters that are a must in cinema in this post modern era. However it's not a bad movie overall, the Cattle Dog steals most of the scenes and the tension is convincing despite the low budget and 'I can hardly see a thing' night setting, kinda like Alien in that regard, whereas Rippy is possibly closer to Aliens with more action by the look of it.
