Thanks for sharing all these wonderful photos which have brought back many happy memories from my childhood.
I remember getting a small catalogue from Britain's (late 1950s/early 1960s) which had tiny, black and white photos of all the sets that were then available.
It was impossible to make out any detail but now your photos have really brought them to life.

Britains Ltd. included this list of its "best quality boxes of model soldiers" inside many of its boxes during the 50s.

Below are links to some PDF documents I posted on my Google Drive.

They are basically pages(in PDF form)from my old web site: "Britains Ltd. Set List (1893-1966)" which
formed part of my Britains lead figures identification guide.

Click on each link(underlined)for the set listings(Note:none of the links inside the PDF documents work;they
are merely copies of web pages in PDF format
) and scroll down the pages once on the document:

To Peter Reuss, the moderators, fellow forum members: just noticed I've been
given the designation "specialist"-I really appreciate
this gesture and will do my best to be as helpful
as possible on this forum as I really enjoy
discussing old Britains! :smile2:
