Has any one heard how he's doing? I sent an email to his wife but got no response (maybe it's just his personal email address).

Brad,
E-mailed him a couple of days ago and no response, so I think he must be sans connection.
Can't imagine him not posting something on the Dispatches thread if he had access to a computer.
Bet it's killing him! :D

I don't know, But I think Rob mentioned he was off to the country for a while, but I'll give him a ring in the morning to see if he is back.

I think Rob must be taking his doctor's advice of rest very seriously, as he should.

The forum just does not feel the same without Rob.

It would be good to hear of news of how he is progressing.

Raymond.:)

I wish him a complete recovery, as long as it may take.
Trouble with the eyesight for a figure/miniature collector is a very scary scenario or thought.
Don't think I can remember, since I am a member, reading through the K&C dispatches and not seeing Rob's comments.

Vision and health are more important than this site. I am sure he has been having the relaxing time he needs.

I agree with all the comments. I was just wondering if anyone had been in touch with him or Vanessa to see how he was progressing.

Sorry Brad I'm confused?!!.........I thought Rob's wife was called Jennifer! ;):D

All joking aside, I have just tried to phone Rob but it’s just the answer phone so I assume they have gone to the country as Rob mentioned before for a bit of R&R.

That is all very true. Hope he is getting better quickly.

I heard from Vanessa. She says Rob is fine and enjoying his break.

So, it sounds like he's getting better.

That is great to hear, It is really different with out him. But like everyone, health is more important than hobby. So he should take it easy for as long as it takes.

Hi guys, a big thank you to all of you for your messages and thoughts, I really am very lucky to have such a group of friends

Am really enjoying my break in the country but as we are staying in a valley the reception on my phone is really bad so can hardly get online. I very much miss being on the forum but will be back raring to go on the 19th October. I really appreciate all your messages,

Can't believe I missed dispatches!

I look forward to catching up with you all again on the 19th

Very best wishes to all of you

Rob

I have been in touch with him briefly this morning. He says he is fine and enjoying the countryside. He went on holiday to visit friends and Vanessa went with him. He's meant to be resting and not scouring the Treefrog posts, so I don't think he has any access to a computer. We made brief contact through his cell phone and the Treefrog server, but he does not have good reception where he is and it is no joy texting on a little cellphone. And I think he is being watched for excessive Forum communication so contact is uncertain.;)

The Lysander is due to recover him on October 19th. :D

Terry

I did think he was needing a break until the 19th Oct which, he said in one of his last posts. I am sure its all well meaning but, I am sure his health is more important than people constantly trying to get him. Rest means rest does it not.
Just a thought.
Mitch
