Hi Guys,

Like most of you I am a big fan of “Robin Hood”… the man… the myth… the movies… My two favourites are … the 1938 Errol Flynn / Basil Rathbone one and the 1952 Richard Todd / Peter Finch version… both excellent.

I think they would make an excellent “mini series”… Something like this perhaps…

Variety is the name of the game, spice of life. Excellent looking figure. Feel no threat in gaps in my series, all have potential and are still being catered for, being Australian Light Horse, Market Garden, Commando's, Life of Jesus, English Civil War and Ancient Egypt. K&C are Huge players in WW11 and cover it extensively. There will always be gaps in any series, but K&C cover all the era's very well and certainly like no other manufacturer. More power to them.:salute::, Robin.

I love this idea. I agree that it breaks the heart and the bank some times when another range/ sub range appears but so what. I could very well see my self buying a handful of a series like this and possibly giving a few as gifts to friends who may not yet have committed to what can become a life long passion and lead to great friendships with collectors all around the globe.

I gave my mum a few Streets of old Hong Kong figures a while ago, now she has a lovely display of buildings and figures that has branched out into the Dickens range. It takes only two or three figures to become a great vignette.

While I understand "Patton's" point-of-view... this is not so much a new series but an extension of our existing Medieval series of "Crusaders of Saracens"... Just as the Knights of the Round Table also is.

As for filling in gaps... I reckon we do more of that than most in this hobby...

Just my opinion of course.

I think extension is kinda of a loose reference for this and the roundtable.. I get the king of England in a Turkish prison while coming back from the crusades. However, if it breathes new life into this genre than I am certainly fine with it. I think there is a market for this childhood favourite and again they broaden their appeal outside of warfare. Net-net another smart business move in my opinion...

I have always had a love for midevil settings and have been considering starting a collection of K&C's midevil theme for a while. Heck I say bring on the wizards and dragons!! Love it!!!

As for filling in gaps... I reckon we do more of that than most in this hobby...

Most certainly agreed however sometimes an outside perspective is needed. As a WWII collector I note that a lot of vehicles have been produced and they are basically EMPTY eg
* the British Tilly
* the Weapons Carrier
* the Medic Weapon Carrier
* the Bren Carrier
* the Jeeps
* the 3 1/2 ton truck
and most recently the Opel Blitz are all lacking passengers. Surely US, British and Russian passengers should have a greater priority to fill existing and previous stock.

Will I will have to expect Friar Tuck, Maid Marian, Little John, Sheriff of Nottingham, King Richard and a few stags (alive and dead) for a complete set ??.

Keep up the good work and I won't hold my breath for the passengers.^&confuse^&confuse

I'm not really a collector of metal figures (I have maybe 2 dozen TOTAL).. I mainly collect plastic figures and playsets.. But, I'm also a big fan of Robin Hood. Based on the previews - I'd have to be in!

I believe there is room in any collection for a bit of childhood nostalgia beyond "real soldiers". This Robin Hood line could easily fill the void for me, and would like to see it produced in the excellent standard that comes from K&C. I'm a buyer

I agree with this and could also see myself purchasing some of these figures.

I really like the idea..no disrespect intended for Costner or Crowe, but my Robin Hood will be always Erroll Flynn. The best Robin Hood of all times. Second best Sean Connery (an aged Robin in "Robin & Marian). It could be interesting by the way to model King Richard on the one played by Connery in 1990.
