Yesterday was held in Rome, the ' Roma Colleziona' event (Rome Collecting) dedicated to the hobby in general and to the military collecting in particular. There were also some Toy Soldiers sellers and some dioramas and wargames accessory dealers. In conjunction with the meeting there was a large group of wargamers who have shown their performances to the public. I took some shots to share the event, hoping you enjoy.
Carlo

ciao Luiz grazie, the vehicles in the picture are all 1:30 scale made in resin in very limited quantity by the Italian maker 'Rhino Tank', the models are all sold out and those you see there, as I know, are the last available for sale. I don't know if the firm is still in business.
cheers

Thank you Carlo for taking these photos. May have to consider swapping to 28mm to May room for my collection. ^&grin, Robin.

Thanks, Carlo looks good plenty to see, mate what is the story behind the VW and beer truck thanks mate ??

Carlo,

What can you tell us about the Blackshirts passing in review in front of the Teatro Impero façade? Who made them? What scale are they? What are they made of? Where can one buy them? Who made the façade? Also, who made all the single figures on the tiers? Thanks.

Mike

The black shirt is the Moscettieri del Duce product by Rhino, The Impero facade is hand made the Scale is 1/30 and for buy them send a mail to punzo64@alice.it. Search in the forum as Moschettieri del Duce for more notice {sm3}Thanks

hello Mike,
the figures displayed on the tiers are a mix of Del Prado (WWII, Alpini, Carabinieri, Napoleonics), De Agostini, E-Kasting to paint and some painted, Hachette (WWII Italian Army) etc.
Concerning the Blackshirts parade you can refer to the mail address in the previous post.
Ciao, grazie
Carlo

thank you Robin, in that scale there is a big lot of buildings and accessories, many are released with laser cut and are very well made. Unfortunately the laser pieces are too fragile and thin for 60mm.
Carlo

I love your work Carlo. Always amazed how you find trucks that seem to fit the 1/30 scale, they are hard to find, most are 1/35 or 1/32 which are just a little small against 60mm figures. Think I am close to storage capacity in regard to dio pieces, but I never say never, just have to be very selective now. Robin.

Oh but Andy does see much more than you might at first think... And even has a few ideas of his own too!

Many thanks for all the pix of the Show and very best wishes to all our Italian friends at the event...especially that rather attractive young lady in one of the photos!!!

You don't see enough of girls like her at Toy Soldier Shows. Happy Collecting! Andy.

Hey Andy,
Great......may be then we can see some of Carlo´s works in your near future offerings......I am a big fan of your Desert Village buildings and use them in many diorama variations....they fit very well from Egyptians on to the 6 days war.....A French fort like you have for the Roman´s would be fantastic....
Cheers
Luiz
