Roman Winter Games (1 Viewer)

Conte updated their website today. A picture of a new Roman set is displayed. I hope they start posting some finsihed products pretty soon.

the three Romans defending with shields and thrusting is a good looking set...I'm so glad the figures detatch from the base...at least it looks like they do...I'm anxious to start getting these...

For those of you who haven't paid a visit to Conte's Web Site here's two of his latest prototypes...........The Lt.

LordAnhausen Here's the photo you should have feature in your Scale Short post....The Lt.

I only have a couple of Conte pieces...but I have the first piece from this series...the sculpting on it is something special...it is really detailed...I am committed to collecting this series...I have wanted an Ancient's line for some time and am eagerly awaiting more of these...

Any new news about this line? It seemed that Conte was hot and heavy with its sneak peeks and then the excitement dwindled.

You can preorder them on his website, same as their NWF line.Conte has some very good products but seems to have many delays.KC,Jenkins,FL,CS all seem to get their products out when scheduled but Conte (and Britains) seem to always have problems.Great products though.

I pre-ordered all of Contes Romans a while ago and I was thinking we would at least see some photos of finished products or even get an update when these are due to be released. Guess not, just wait and see approach.

Mark Conte stated awhile back that he was restocking 15 of the Zulu war sets to be followed by the first wave of his NWF Series then followed with the first wave of Romans and then his Tombstone series. We should be hearing very shortly that the restocked ZW sets have arrived. The NWF Series is already scheduled an in the works. Sahara you should be seeing painted proto types of the Roman Series very shortly they are currently at his painters and betting you'll be very pleased with what you see. Were more than likely looking at sometime in October early November an who knows maybe sooner. Cheer up Sahara all good things come to those who wait. By the way Mark it's not his scheduling it's based on when the factory is able to schedule them into production based previous commitments ...........The Lt.

The wait is almost always very much worth it with Conte.
Looking forward to all the promised sets.
I also hope he revisits the AZW series from time to time.

I think Richard announces his plans in the very early stages of development...

and it seems like a long wait to the anxious...

he always seems to have an agenda...

he seems like he tells people in what order things will be released...very forthcoming with his intentions...

JJ once told me it takes about 3 months to get something on the shelf ready to sell after it's sculpted...

it's a slow process...

I understood Zulus and NWF would come before the Romans...

I have preorderd all the pieces...even the galley...

A few more pictures with 3 of the "older Romans" in it...I think these older Romans are about 11-12 years old...very innovative for their time...even as they are not dressed in the winter garb...they still look good and work with the newer ones...
