In 173, during the first Marcomannic Wars, the Romans Camapaign against the Germanic Quadi in Germania. The Roman Legion was ambushed in the woods and hemmed in by a huge Quadi Host that came crashing into the Roman lines following the loud cry of the tribal horn.

The Germanic Warriors were both huge and fierce. They crash into the Roman lines and a messy chaotic and bloody hand to hand battle broke out all along the Roman Lines.

The fierce Germanic Warriors were brutal, A Germanic Warrior raise the head of an unfortunate Roman soldier with a loud war cry.

At this critical stage when the Romans are on the verge of being overrun due also to the heat and thirst was saved by a sudden shower that refresh the
Romans and they were able to drive the Quadi back.This event is later depicted on the column of Marcus Aurelius.
 
Some really great photos, I love the fact that the poses of the figures allow you to create the mayhem and carnage of hand to hand fighting! {bravo}}

Wonderful!! I also love the positioning. I portrays hand to hand combat very effectively.

Your images really draw me into the intensity of the sudden attack. The hand to hand ferocity is portrayed so well by your figure placement of these fantastic FL figures. Very well done and thanks for sharing the pics. That's a great collection you have. I bet you had a lot of fun setting them up and photographing them!

Thanks for the kind comments. This is indeed a great line, and I had endless hours of fun going through the various pieces. The glory of roman line keeps getting better and better and we can only guess even better things to come for the range in the near future.^&grin
