Hi all - hope everyone is geared up for a few days off, a big Thanksgiving feast, time with family, and some football.
This evening, I'd like to share a few photos of Rommel's Desert Taxi, the Messerschmitt 108 "Taifun". Included with this piece (as a bonus) is none other than a desert version of Rommel and trusty pilot figure.
I really like this version of Rommel which can be used in many other scenes:
Only recently did I gain a real appreciation for the pilot, a nicely detailed and painted figure:
For fans of K&C's Afrikakorps collection, I must say that with all things considered, I still prefer "Yellow 14" with its detailing and color scheme; although I do like Rommel and pilot better than Hans-Joachim Marseille figure. They're still both very nice planes and great additions to ones' Afrikakorps collection.
