These are in the green Frontline boxes,

that say John Jenkins Collection.

Can anybody comment on the value, rarity, history of, date of inception, site with photos, retail price or availibility, etc... on these sets?

Any info, any history or any links?

Any comments would be appreciated as I can find virtually nothing in the links I have researched.

They all have the cards of authenticity and are stated as sets of 1000 limited edition.

Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what I have bought or how much I overpaid, lol.

The sets are:

RR.1........Major Robert Rogers
RR.3........Rogers Rangers 6 firing and loading
RR.4........Rogers Rangers (Indian/Ranger)

photos are included.

Thanks.

Combat (Doug) will likely know the value of these which I believe are pretty rare pieces.

I use to have these sets myself, not all of them. But like an idiot I sold them. They go for quite a bit of money I believe now. How much if you dont mind me asking did you pay for them? They did a 6 pc figure set for woodland Indians, and some other hand to hand sets that I remember.

They are from when Jenkins worked with Frontline.Very hard to come by now.

Hello Michael
I had before the eyes a page of the frontline site on april 2005 .I made a photocopy but helas I never understood how to set pictures on this forum.
At the time, I manage to buy the ten sets avaluable.

you have RR1: the major Rogers : 25 $
RR2: 1 ranger officer and an indian scout : 44$
RR3: 6 rangers: 132$
RR4: combat set 1 (1 ranger and 1 indian): 44$
RR5: combat set 2: 44$
RR6: indian scalping dead ranger :44$
the indians
WI 1 :woodlands indians with camp fire :66$ (these were taller than the range)
WI2:woodland indians advancing : 66$
wI3: 6 indians shooting: 132$
WI 4: Indians 3 figures loading 66$

there was an announced canoe WI7 which never came.
Preszently I have only the WI 4 because Three years ago I made a trade
against K1K figures and I returned two years ago with FIW with the Jenkins ranges.
Best regards
Thierry

Hi every body
It's me again.
I forgot : were also announced: WI 5: woodlands indian captives (1 indian with female and two children)set 1
and WI6 :woodland indian captive set 2: 1 indian , 1 french coureur des bois, and 2 civilians.
As the canoe, these two sets never reach the shops .
Were they made in some exemplars ?
Best regards
Thierry

Mike,

Looks like some great pickups at the show. I haven't seen those before.

How was the show?

Darrell

Never mind Mike. Just read your thread about the show. Looked great!

Combat (Doug) will likely know the value of these which I believe are pretty rare pieces.

DOUG,

Randy said you might be able to give me an idea what these sets are worth.

If you have time will you address this?

Thanks, Randy, thanks Doug.

Thierry,

Thank you,

If you have an ad for April 2005, I will assume this is close to the release date, would that be right in your opinion?

The prices from the ad would also be the retail prices, would that be correct?

Thanks again.

Again, if anybody can comment on the value of these sets, I would appreciate any correspondence, even a PM would be welcome.

these were the retail yes. As for value, RR1 I have seen trade between 50 and 85. RR3 - around 200-250. 2, 4 5 and 6 - $100-150.

I think the indians go for more, but I have not had a lot of dealing with them.

Tom,

thanks for taking the time to give me your opinion of what they are worth and confiming the retail price.

Do you know of any links that show the figures and prices.

I have taken them all out of the boxes at once and am not 100% sure which figures go back in which boxes.:eek::eek:

I'm pretty sure, but would love to see some sites showing them.

Some photos would be nice if you know of any links.

Thanks again.

Andy,

Sager's has the photos, your directions were simple.

That's what I was looking for, thanks.

I wanted to make sure that I had the correct figures for the sets I bought and to make sure I put them back in the right boxes.

Have you seen any of these sets sold recently or do you have a guesstimate of their current value?

DOUG,

Randy said you might be able to give me an idea what these sets are worth.

Michael-
Aussie is the guy to consult on prices. I don't track ebay. These have been sold out from the dealers for a good while. So that would bump the prices. Technically, I'm not even sure they are considered JJ figures since they were produced for Frontline. I passed on them for that reason.

I am pretty sure these figures had a page on the John Jenkins Design website in 2007 and 2008, but I can no longer find that link.

Guys,

The sets were designed by John Jenkins and manufactured by Frontline for him.

They were released 2005 and retired 2006.

Sagers in the only web site I know who shows them still. John did have them on his web site but he removed them approx 12 months ago.

The cards for the sets state 1000 sets, there were only 150 sets manufactured, before John and Frontline parted company.

RR-01 Major Robert Rogers
RR-02 1 Ranger Officer, 1 Indian Scout
RR-03 6 Rangers, skirmishing
RR-04 Woodland Indian and Ranger - Combat Set 1
RR-05 Woodland Indian and Ranger - Combat Set 2
RR-06 Woodland Indian and Ranger - Scalping Set

WI-01 3 Woodland Indians with Camp Fire
WI-02 3 Woodland Indians Advancing
WI-03 6 Woodland Indians Shooting
WI-04 3 Woodland Indians, 3 figures loading

Price when released was approx $22 per figure.

There was a set of RR03 (6 figs) on eBay last week that went from $10 to $250 in a day amd then the item was pulled for some reason.

The sets these days range in value depending on condition and availablity, RR02 & WI01 are some of the hardest to find.

But as a guide price approx $50 to $75 per figure -

RR01 $100 to $200
RR02 $150 to $200
RR03 $300 to $400
RR04 $150 to $200
RR05 $150 to $200

WI01 $150 to $200
WI02 $300 to $400
WI03 $150 to $200
WI04 $150 to $200

Hope this help everyone.

Andrew Montgomery

I question the highness of some of the prices only b/c I have recently run into these at shows and personally bought some. Ebay will always be higher b/c of the audience, but here are recent prices I have seen:

1. RR01 $65
2. RR03 $200
3. RR04 $90
4. RR05 $90
