You know, just going off topic for a moment - as I'm prone to do every now and again, I was looking at these diorama photos (yet) again when I had a stunning idea. I've got "Photostich" software that allows you to literally "stitch" digital photos together and end up with a massive picture composed of several, ummm....composites.
I've never got around to playing with the software as yet, cos I've never really seen any need for it - BUT - maybe next time I'm home, I can try taking a series of separate snaps. Then by cunningly applying the software I could end up with what on the face of it is a massive display of figures; thereby fooling everyone into believing I'm an extremely rich, if somewhat reclusive, miniature figurine collector. Then, everyone would like me and want to be my "virtual" pal.
:):)
Hmmm.....

Big Fan of Cunning Plans - Heidski

I just found this on the Russian site showing FL's paint masters - a new previously unpublished figure. Could this be the paint master for Commissar Heidski?

http://www.modelsculpt.org/gallery/?id=122

This figure is a Cossack of 1st Ekaterinodarsky Regiment Cuban Troops, during WWI and/or Russian Civil War (1918-1922).

Actually, this isn't a new figure, we've had it for a long time now. We have no current plans to produce it as a "toy soldier" as it doesn't go with any of our other figures. But for anyone who wants one, we do have it and sell it painted to High Level painting quality (about the same as St. Petersburg, posssibly a little better) for about $160 plus shipping from Russia...

Matt
