RUSSIANS !! The Battle is LOST before it has begun ! (2 Viewers)

I believe these Russians are some of the best yet produced by King & Country - very well sculpted and designed. Terrific detail work and lots of color.

I hope Andy will produce some Cossacks as well !

Ron

Yes, Russians are fun but your 1805 theme needs different figures as the shako at least changed by 1812.But then again who cares as long as you're having fun, it's not that critical.
Cossacks would be great as there are few available even as kits.
Jagers too.

For a guy who took on the WHOLE OF EUROPE - he didnt do too bad........and had to face all the enemies that NAPOLEON had to face.

Ron

I've just read through this thread and have a few observations to make..

Ron, nice collection of Russians, I know you have just started posting photos, but any chance they could be a bit bigger, sorry...

The period is called the Napoleonic Wars after the man himself for mainly the reasons above, He may have been a Military Genius but he was also a Military Adventurer and as such never had enough power and so built huge armies to seek more as he tried to annexe or control most of the countries neighbouring France, sometimes more than once, over a 20-year period.

Just a British point of view of course ;)

But again a nice collection.

I need size dementions for photos - at photo bucket the largest I can go is what you have seen. It wont transfer anything larger than that - so what is the largest size I can transfer over ??

Very nice display Ron...you are a lucky man as I have not been lucky enough to obtain any of the Russians yet but hope to do so this year.

Thanks - Wellington

That Cannon Set is really great - alot of action/figures for the money !

The rest of the Russians are great as well - they make a sharp display. I have a new Curio Cabinet coming in next week - ONE SHELF is reserved for the Russians :D

Ron, try out the new photo album feature. It will automatically resize your pictures and you can add them to a thread straight from the album. You can bypass online photo sites and browse directly from the files on your computer. See FAQ or my thread on albums for more info.

Napoleon is a chump- you'd have been better off spending all that money on Obama campaign leaflets. :D:eek::D:D

Volley by Platoon!

I'm still holding out for the Del Prado Russian Cuirassiers and front rank Hussars with Lances.
My attempts at sculpting horses are thus far sad looking dog camel mix.Troopers, those I have. The mad sculpting scientist will just have to continue his abominations until something that resembles a horse is achieved.Practice, practice, practice.
I agree Ron, The Russian cannon set looks great. I already have a full 12 gun battery so I dont think I need to start collecting another 12 but the figs look very nice.
Is that a NEW cannon?
