The Japanese are dug in and hit the Marines with everything they've got, including suicide squads trying to knock out tanks............

George,

Excellent stuff as always. What make are the figures? Metal or plastic? This jungle base is just superb!

Regards

Jeff

Thanks as always Jeff for your positive feedback; the figures are all metal and a mix of Britannia, Sergeant Majors Miniatures, Battlefield, SHQ and FAA. The jungle base is a village piece with all the extra foliage added and the tall grass and bushes are actually JG items, they work well in 20mm too as you can see.

George, that's a nice dio :)

I know that the Sherman 105 'Black Jack" is a Matchbox diecast model but wondered about the Japanese trucks etc, I assume they are plastic?

Thanks Oz, you've got a keen eye, those are indeed the old Matchbox diecast Shermans. All of the Japanese tanks are either plastic model kits (mostly Fujimi and Airfix) or resin vehicles from Britannia or BP Cast, which wargamers like to use in their games.

The Far East is a favorite theater of war for wargamers, hence all of the items available

excellent as always George, really enjoy Pacific themes.
FUB

Thanks Fubar and Cap; Cap, I know I've said this before, but i will get to an ACW diorama for you and UK Reb and others who have been patiently waiting. Iv'e got about 5,000 20mm ACW figures, but I need probably a whole weekend to set them all up as they are based individually................

5,000 single based 1/72?!!! Yes, I want to see that one too when you get it set up.Incredible talley that makes my back arms and neck hurt just thinking about it!
Your Napoleoncics and Ancients are not single based or are they?
Fub

George another little blinder, great stuff!
Can you please point out Lee Marvin to me as he just has to be somewhere in your dio-before or after the buttocks wound?

Bobby Lee and his battered ANV are on their way back to Virginia in my last dio..will need a ACW injection soon!
Promises! Promises! always promises :(

Reb

Fubar,
I've got about 10,000 Napoleonics, about half are based individually, the rest on stands with 8 figures per. UKReb, you can see Lee in the third shot throwing the grenade....;)............thanks for the positive feedback and to you too Eborris......

Thanks Kevin, likewise regarding your terrific work. I know how much time and effort goes into the pictures, but as you will agree, it's a labor of love..............

George - WOW ! What a set up

How many of these guys do you have ?? - looks great.

With the size of that board I would imagine 10,000 or so would fit quite nicely. I love the way the terrain is set up, you paint all those guys yourself?

20mm?! What do those figs measure in heigth, about 3/4 of an inch? Man-o-man that's getting on down there. I would need a microscope!

Ron, Iv'e got about 5,000 ACW figures, 10,000 Napoleonics, and about 3,000 WWII figures, not to metion all the tanks, buildings, etc I've got. Eborris, I painted all the ACW and Napoleonics myself, I have sent out the WWII to be done professionally, I just don't have the time to do them myself anymore. Cap, my figures are the same size as your plastic ACW figures are, 1/72nd scale.......
