Just put my HB Panther next to my CS Panther & there a big difference in size between the two witch one is right

Michael; I believe the Panzerkampfwagen IV is also oversize. Pictures of the Figarti PK IV and the CS PK IV side by side indicate the CS PK IV is larger by about 3%. The Tiger is a correct 1/30 scale and is the same size as the Honor Bound Gold Tiger and the K&C Tunisian/Kursk/New Winter Tiger I. This is verified by side by side photos and actual measurements. No Polystone model can be exact 1/30 due to shrinkage in processing the material Some are closer than others in a production run. Regards

You and I are on the same wavelength. My first impression of the Panzer was that it was too big. I am keeping my Tiger, repainting the camo on my Panther and selling my Panzer 4, as not fitting in..Michael

Well done, but too large. Without getting into a scale debate, I am collecting vehicles based on relative size to one another. No matter what the mfg. says, my eyes as well as various scale formulas, all shout out..too big against even CS acknowledge 1/30 new offerings...It is highly detailed and the various display options are a nice touch. I do hate this type camo. I prefer more subdued..The tank is for sale ...$99.00 complete . Some of the armor plates are glued on, but can take photos if needed....Michael

Michael; A photo is on the forum showing the CS and Figarti Winter PK IV side by side. The figarti PK IV is a correct 1/30 scale. One just sold on Ebay for $135.00. A pretty fair price IMHO Please post a photo of your Panther repaint when complete. I would be interested in seeing how it turns out. Regards

Here are some more pictures of figures in relation to the HB Tiger.

The following two pictures demonstrate how perspective affects the final result. Each picture is taken slightly higher than the previous picture.

This picture features K&C figures which are representative of the majority of WWII TS manufacturers.

The last picture features both FL and K&C figures

Frank; Your excellent photos establish two essential facts long in contention. Given the deck of the Honor Bound Tiger I is 60 MM the First Legion figures are a true 60 MM-1/30 scale. The K & C figures are at least 65 MM and are 1/28 scale; at least the two figures with their eyes even with the Tiger's deck. The Honor Bound Tiger I has been verified by actual measurement many times to be a true 1/30 scale. First Legions contention is thus verified by your fine photos.

Nice pictures lads.

I think they neatly illustrate the fact, that you can often get away with different manufacturers figures when displayed together - due to normal differences in height between people. After all, a five foot three infantryman and a six-foot three infantryman are not that uncommon in the same unit. There can be problems when their weapons/kit are scaled differently - but again - by manipulating the figures slightly, you can again, often get away with it.

The snag comes with the relative sizes of the bigger kit - Tanks and AFV's. I guess it is with the latter, that decisions need to be taken early on, with just what you want to collect.

Articles such as these will help enormously with such basic decisions - as you guys who collect them - can SHOW others what the differences are - BEFORE expensive purchase decisions are taken.

tank looks a bit large for FL figures..i have great luck mixing FL figures with figarti tanks... they go well.
