No, it's a new program on BBC1. Film at 11 ^&grin
Thanks.....But I have my own forum....No need to upset anyone here.
This way only those who are concerned with the issue can discuss it in private.
It is going well so far.....Hanging at about 50-50
And the good part is NO one is getting excited.
Opening post on the FJ thread
Hi all,
Just curious to know if anyone has picked up the new WWII German FJs sets yet?? and if so what do you think?? hoping I can pick a few up over the next month or so but always like to hear from the collectors and their opinions with product in hand...Sammy
Now you are throwing us out ^&confuse[/QUOTE
Well my good firebat, I most certainly did asked for thoughts and opinions but when it comes to (measurements, product won't work with A-B, new and insightful information is being discussed at your website,) etc, etc, well mate I have been down the evil scale road meself and it's a mess, so no need in pulling my thread off the rails I figured I would start a thread for those interested in scale issues and maybe my other thread can get back on track, glad to hear all is going well and informative on your website, I guess I'll just hang here with the guys who don't have that modelers eye, makes for easier conversation, but I appreciate the invite!!...Sammy

Your own forum. ^&confuse I thought it was Hobby Bunkers forum. So I had a look. And you are right - it really is your form. And that's a bad thing. You only seem to come on Treefrog when you don't get enough attention on HB. Enjoy your forum and I will enjoy Treefrog.

1- Hobby Bunker gave Battleground Art a space on their Forum...A forum has many forums ( I don't refer to Hobby Bunker here out of respect to Treefrog ).
2- I have over 3000 posts here and have contributed quite a lot here over about 8 years.
3- The Battleground Art ( Hobby Bunker ) Section of the Forum has a specific purpose it is very narrow in scope. Here there are a wide variety of topics
4- I don't have the time to spend my life on forums, so the specificness of the BGA forum suits me and those who choose to participate ( I don't care if it is 3 people as long as we have similar interest in specific aspects of the hobby
5- I basically do just post scenes here, because most members enjoy them, and I am happy they do. I am not into idle chat.
6- You can hit below the belt all you want, make jokes, follow the crowd. I follow my own path and have many friends who have the the same vision for the hobby as I do.
7- Take a pole and if the majority of members don't want me to post here I will leave. ( I dare you to do it )
8- Put your money where your mouth is wise guy.
In all the years when I was the only moderator here (other than Pete and Shannon) and they gave me a lot of leeway to moderate the Forum never did I have the temerity or gall to think it was "my" forum.
The problem Alex is not the message but the way in which you deliver and/or express it, the sturm und drang that you purposely try to foster here, for whatever purpose who knows, that being only known to you.

I used mine in that case because I didn't want to say Hobby Bunker
I was a model builder.....I am do not consider myself a toy soldier collector ....that is somewhat against the grain of this forum......I don't want to build models any more, I want detailed military replicas built for me.
I am into proper scale and high level detail ...... It is my right to fight for what I want....and fight I will
i don't care how brash I have to be.....I have to say the hobby is slowly moving in the direction I envisioned
So the fight has been worth it...those who want to settle .....if your happy that is fine......but it is not for me?.......that is what I am fostering here and else ware.
I have magazine articles being done on Battleground Art , a website and other plans.....
I am a innovative person and I don't settle
I hope that answers your inquiry
Alex
Alex,
I like your Dio's like I said many times before, but I think that by you saying that your fighting to save the world from poorly made toys is self serving and to be honest just ridiculous. look at the other members you have recruited for your site where did they come from?? Here I think. So how are you fighting ??? Just like everyone else here and on other forums that wants and demands something more we ask for it. We discuss what we like and don't like about releases and then we put our money behind what we feel is worth having and a good representative of the item in question, no need for the self promotion and caped crusader BS. You seem like a nice well intentioned guy and I don't dislike you but your coming off in a terrible way, have a slice of humble pie and maybe try again. And please drop the changing the world stuff your not doing anything that many others both here and on other forums aren't doing everyday and haven't done for many years ..except we gotta pay full price :wink2:,. regards Gebhard
Alex, we have been very patient (perhaps a bit too patient), but enough! The only reason that 'another forum' was mentioned here was because you brought it up...repeatedly. By saying 'I don't mention it out of respect to Treefrog' is disingenuous because in doing so you ARE mentioning it. It reminds me a Basil Fawltey, "Don't mention the war!"
If you choose to be a part of another forum (whether it's 'your' forum or not), feel free, but don't come to our forum and try to recruit people to go elsewhere. We are extremely proud of the work that we have done over the years to establish this forum to create a place for people around the world to come and participate in their love of toy soldiers. The sheer volume of diorama photos now being posted is a testament to that work.
Your comments have said, in a nutshell, "There is another place that is much better for this discussion, so please go there." That's akin to walking into Macy's and proclaiming, "There's a shop over on 5th street with much better deals, so quit shopping here." Why would we allow that to happen on our forum? It just makes no sense.
Our policy has always been, "What happens on other forums stays on other forums." We intend to keep it that way. If you and some friends want to be a part of a 'great discussion' elsewhere, go for it, but I don't want to see it discussed in any way here.
This forum does not exist as a platform to recruit people for other ventures. Come and talk about your love of toy soldiers...bring helpful critiques if you want...but enough of this drama, persecution, and recruiting to other sites. If you play here, you play by our rules.
