"Schwein NKVD!" (1 Viewer)

Hi Poppo,
that’s a good idea. I’d like to make the same think. I bougth Del Prado alpini collection, several years ago. I think it’s a great set, as you can see below, but maybe we should wonder how our dio could look like with k&C figures. Is it just a dream? Shall we ask Andy about this?

Best regards

Enrico :)

For those who are interested in Barbarossa, the few alpini depicted by King and Country are part of the " Battaglione sciatori Monte Cervino", the only alpini unit who wore proper winter uniforms, also called for fear and respect by the enemies " the white devils". They wore white clothes on the green uniforms unlike the rest of the alpini corp who wore summer uniforms at minus 40°! The Monte Cervino Battalion, helped the retreat with sacrifice, destroying several T34 tanks and was finally destroyed itself by the many enemies. The survivors were made prisoners and sent to the gulag. Only 15 of them came back to Italy at the end of the war.

It seems that the german pioneers are doing a good job...:p

Sometimes, you can make great stuff with ZERO money if you have some skill, time, patience, concentration ( it is a pleasure and a mental exercise at the same time even if tiring)...And no manufacturer will make something like this; and even if you buy a kit for modellers, the pieces are too regular to look realistic and not necessarily the size you wish.
It is totally made of wood. All my works are made of wasted materials and I work them with very simple home tools. Here it is:

With a repaint another soldat is ready for the "ost front".

Love that bridge Poppo! Like you said it can be tiring to fabricate things but it's so rewarding and usually pretty cheap too! Thanks for sharing the pics of your diorama in progress.
