Guys...

Here are a few Pics of a converted and repainted K&C battle of the bulge KT. I removed the skirts and, applied a coat of zimmerit to the set. The distinctive charging knight belonging to 505 has been applied to the turret which was bereft of zimm.

Nice Konigstiger this is and, IMO the best released in the hobby. An enjoyable repaint and conversion

What a wonderful job. The zimmerit application is just outstanding. Just superior work. -- Al

Mitch, that is AWSOME!!!!. The zimmermitt you applied is outstanding and nice paint job,
well done {bravo}}

Thanks for the comments.

its the symbol that the 505 heavy tank battalion used on their Tigers A charging knight. there were different colours used between the different Kompanies. I don't paint these now as Archer do some fantastic dry transfers which, saves lots of time
Mitch

By the way Mitch, what is the symbol you painted on the turret ?

Mitch, This is one of several repaints in which you removed all of the side skirts. Any reason in particular ^&confuse
Nice Zimmeritt job.

Panzerace...

I am asked to do so by collectors as these are commisions. I think also, that this often makes an AFV look better, not always but, more often than not. I usually strip down a set when it comes if zimm is required. In this case I removed the exhausts, jack etc from the rear of the AFV but, have not put the making of pics up yet

I like the battle damaged look

Neil..

Cheers mate. I prefer doing the battle worn look rather than the straight from the factory look, more interesting
Mitch
I agree but the biggest reason I like the vehicles without skirts is that the skirts ruin the lines of the rather graceful tanks like the Panther, Jagdpanther, or King Tiger. These vehicles just look better without the skirts. -- Al

Thats a really great piece of work you have there!!...Love the charging knight symbol from the 505, and as everone has mentioned Awesome
Zimmeritt!!!.

Paint job, zimmerit paist, excellent all round job Mitch. If i had the money to buy another King Tiger, i would see if you could do one for me as well...^&grin

Ah, I see. Taking cares of others :)

Now that is one good looking tank! Fantastic work, as usual! {bravo}} Good to see you made it on this one, IMHO the only scale accurate Kingtiger K&C made...:rolleyes2:

Simply brilliant modification work on what is indeed one of my favorite KC tanks.
