Second hobby ? (1 Viewer)

So true, especially when the lawyers got involved, I just think of the sets that I could have gotten with the money I paid to the lawyers.:(

Why don't we focus on second hobbys, instead of getting off on problems?

Everyone likes to pick on lawyers, but it is forgotten that they are usually

the first person called when you face a difficult situation. A situation that

they did not cause, but are called on to resolve.

No trouble, no lawyers, no legal fees........its just that simple.:D

My other hobby is O-gauge trains.

Superb looking layout. Who makes the steamer? Is it a 2-8-2 or 4? Mikado? Looks really nice. -- lancer

With a house, 2 young kids, and a demanding full time career I barely have enough time for my toy soldier hobby, let alone a second!!!!!!!!!!

Very true, but they just seem to sneak up on you. I started with

Lionel Trains, Dinky Toys were picked up in train buys, as were lots of figures.

Before you know it you can find yourself collecting dozens of items.

Lancer, that particular locomotive is a 1:48 scale brass Santa Fe 2-10-4. Engineers nicknamed her "The Madame Queen".

Ooooh trains! I built this over a period of several years and sold it on Ebay to a doctor who drove to FL from NC to pick it up.

German railway N Scale.

That's a RC P-47 Thunderbolt under the table - Never did learn how to fly, but lost lots of aircraft trying.

Very cool, I built a nice Marklin layout on a 4X8 table with a rail yard and
automatic train controls so multiple trains could be run at the same time without collisions. I also had a loop of Super O Lionel around the layout so I could enjoy my Lionel Collection. Problem is it is more fun to build a layout then to actually sit and watch them go around in a circle.

I took mine down when I switched dens, but I did keep two Marklin Craine diorama's which I enjoy from time to time.

Highrailjon, thanks for the answer. Beautiful steamer. I love O gauge RR but have no room or money for it. Big fan of the Hudson and steamers in general. Some day I will get a NYC Hudson in brass to go with my Lionel Hudson and maybe a set-up (I can still dream). Thanks for the pictures. -- lancer
