Rick, in talking about the state of the company, has said they have gone more to brass and away from resin/polyutherane pieces. Releases will be limited to 100 for manufacturing reasons; there are production run limitations due to the molds they use. The mold tolerance doesn't allow more than 108. They also don't want dealers to be stuck with excess inventory. A case in point of excess is the Wu collection. Figarti is now turning a profit and 100 for them at this point in the state of the company's development is optimalm.

He also reads all the polls.

Rick has announced the following:

Sdk 251/17.

German 15cm sFH 18 Howitzer (winter) - November
Russian JS 2 tank - launch date TBD

M3 Motor Carriage - november - British

M16 Halftrack - January

105 mm 522nd Artillery Unit

Bofors 20mm AA Gun

American Priest

Figure sets for Us Priest

M3A1 Halftrack

M4 Dozer

M4A1 Hedgerow Cutter - November

4 DDay figure sets

LCT6 - shock and awe!

FINALLY A RUSSIAN JS-2! The beast. That should be something. Thanks for the report Brad. :)

Back when we were starting to guess the "Shock and Awe" piece for this year, I posted that it would be an LCT. I was right and I'm not even a corporate spy!

Lovin' the Shermans and other US releases!

as an addendum; from the list you presented it looks like somebody HAS been reading the little polls on this forum!

All great pieces!!!, Looks l just have to buy American pieces, from now on. :D. And never doubted that Rick does check. On what we want.

I think the LCT is $1600.

I'm also proud to admit that I was wrong about his reading of polls :)

This may sound a bit dumb, but what is an LTC.
I thought we had a landing craft from K and C

I assume Landing Craft, Tank. Assume 6 refers to Mark 6 version.

The KC version was just for troops; rumour is they may also do a LCT

At 1 600 USD it will obviously be a really big piece.
K and C generally avoid big ticket items like that.
What rumor by the way?

sounds like good releases, happy for the allies, had the rub of the green these few months eh?
the jerry howitzer and the js2 interests me though, hopefully it'll be well worth the anticipation.
anyway, my wallet is safe for now.:)

It was on the KC thread - D-Day wishes for 2010; Rob referencing something Andy said...

Now we don't want to be accused of high jacking Figarati for KC :D

You are right it would be huge ... and at 1600 USD ...I'm out :D

LCT = Landing Craft Tank.

I think that K&C was thinking of the LCM (Landing Craft Mechanized).

LCM = 1 medium tank or equivalent. Operates ship to shore. Some of these were trucked overland and used for the Rhine crossing in 1945. Armed with 2 X .50cal MG

LCT = 5-6 medium tanks and maybe a couple jeeps. Sea going vessel (to a certain extent). For Opn Neptune (DDay) these were loaded in England and sailed across the channel. Armed with 2-4 X 20mm guns.
