Shock and Awe 2009 (2 Viewers)

ALL WONDERFUL PIECES, WHAT FIGARTI HAS GIVEN US!!. And I know most if not all of us. wants every single one. To be had. THANKS, RICK!!! WE REALLY APPECIATE IT, TO CHOOSE FROM THIS MANY.
And thank you too, Carlos. for giving us this glimpse. Of how great it is to be there.

"Figarti Syndrome"

Toy soldier and model (or photograph of above) induced slacking of the jaw, mouth breathing, dribbling, incoherence and choking utterances, light headedness, giddyness with occassional fainting, pain in the wallet primarily but any other body part and grinning wildly. Incontinence has also been described.

This syndrome can also be accompanied by frequent repeated statements such as 'OMG', 'got to have that' and 'wow'. It is potentially accompanied by divorce or buying a larger house. There is currently no cure so treatment is aimed at providing an economically sustainable dose of Figarti product.

Model making at it's best!.......Highlight of the show I guess?

I've only collected Iraq and Vietnam from Figarti, but I have to say that I am both shocked and awed by this piece.

THAT is what I call a naval vessel. Well done.

(Oh - and perhaps stupid question - is this 1/32 or 1/30?)
1/30 scale!

Any mention of the Panzer IV w/ wire mesh skirting? I thought it would be a sure bet to be released at OTSN.

Once Again - Rick has not disappointed his fans !  Wow - What great releases !

I got to say I am the closest I've ever been to buying a 'shock and awe' piece, awsome model.

With the large number of hinges (all them open, including the doors on the turret armored side skirt) and photo etch detail, the Panzer IV Ausf J would be more than $300. Rick feels that in this present economy the tank would be too expensive and Figarti is still working on lowering the price.

The list price of the LCT Mk 6 is $1699, but there was a show special on the three display sets with a discount of $200. They were sold in 5 minutes.

Once again my hat's off to Carlos for taking the time and providing a group of outstanding photos and can see why Rick at Figarti's Shock and Awe 2009 wowed all who attended the showing. Thanks again Carlos for the time spent bring me to the event. Looking forward to the appearance of other photos from the show as the time allows you to photograph them and post them. Take care and continue to wow us with your photos they're well sort after.....Joe

I wouldn't have believed that Figarti could top their Shock & Awe K5 German Railway Gun release but I reckon they have

Btw, I have to admit that I thought Brad must have confused an LCT6 with a LCM6 as I didn't imagine that Figarti would produce a Landing Ship Tank because of their size.

By the way, in another nod to Figarti, now one can model the "missing service". Some of the landing craft and other small craft were operated by the US COAST GUARD. One never sees the Coasties mentioned let alone modeled.

Here are some pics. Got to go to dinner but I hope this helps.

Typical. this piece has 36 treads on the ramp, when everyone knows there are only 35 on the actual LCT 6.

What an amazing piece! A Big hats off to Rick and Crew for coming up with this piece, it is awesome!

Kind of shadows some of the other fantastic looking pieces set for the future from Figarti. Liking the halftrack and looking forward to an M16.

Great work, and once again, thanks to Carlos for taking the time to post the pictures, and to Brad and Steven for the info.

LOL! Now that I know what my affliction is, perhaps I can now take the appropriate steps to alleviate my suffering :p! In other wounds, buy all new Figarti products now and the symptoms will subside [at least temporarily]! :D
Thanks for assisting in the diagnosis Panda1gen! ;)

There are other variations on the theme, K&C syndrome for example, but the shock and awe induces the severe cases..........:D:eek::cool::rolleyes:
