While the 'official' reporters are compiling their notes, images, and videos, I'll give a few hints about what was seen at the Figarti lunch.

Airplane.

Boat.

Artillery.

Size.

As I'm sure you are ALL wondering, the lunch was very nice. I had a roast beef sandwich on a roll with tomato and cheese. The peanut cookie was quite good.

As I'm sure you've all seen, Figarti had many things. Most impressive were the E boat and B 17. Would love to have it but it's very big but very, very nice. The LRDGs were nice, weathered with real rubber wheels. The V1 and V2 was also a big hit. Last bt nice least were the buildings. Very, very impressive.

Obviously, with their moving into 1/30 scale, the future will be very interesting.

I had crispy chicken fur lunch today while I was working on an oil rig.....it wuz great - aye, the crispy chicken I mean....

You will need room and money however. It's about 3 feet in length and about 1,400 dollars.

The B17 with all the crew is about 900.

They only had a prototype of the V2 without ground crew so I don't have too much info there.

There is a V1, with cart and transport crew. The V1 also comes in a different camo as well. There is also a separate fueling crew with a pump mechanism, cart, fuel cannister and two figures. There is also a launch rail with V1 on it, as a separate set.

I don't envy the guy that has to design the packaging for the B 17 and E Boat. Nice pieces but they look so fragile. I'm still not a Figarti convert, but they have some interesting ideas. Amazing how everyone is jumping on the 1/30 scale bandwagon

Figarti is working hard at new packaging and they will be going to the K and C style packaging so hopefully that will significantly reduce any problems.

Any word on prices for the V1/V2 and sets?? If they have been given somewhere I must have missed them

I recently bought all 3 of the Pacific theater LTV's and all 3 were damaged, while the company and the dealers were very responsive, the packaging is a very real issue and will continue to be as there production units get larger and larger.

Okay cool Harry. Maybe I'll come back here a bit more from time to time.

I've been a critic of packaging in the toy soldier industry so let me share my experience with Figarti to date. My Figarti tiger was packed super well except for the fact that the radio operator came unglued inside and bounced around causing a bit of havok. The 88 shell also came broken off the loader's hands. Hopefully Figarti will make sure to pack the figures in a separate area from the e-boat - that improves playability in the set as well.

My Figarti Japanese howitzer was also packed well but also somehow came a bit damaged - it defied logic - maybe it was damaged at the factory.

Otherwise, I've found their figure set packaging to be among the best in the industry - they wrap each figure individially in foam paper.
