Shock.............In March 1918 the Germans came out of their trenches and launched a series of offensives designed to defeat the BEF and hopefully the battered French would then sue for peace, all before the Americans arrived in great numbers. They attacked at a place where the BEF and the French Armies meet, believed to be a weak point, at first successful many British and French fell back in full retreat. Here some battered French troops fall back through a village to the shock of the locals.

Mate truly impressive well done cobber well done, the bigger the better.

These French figures really go well with your new buildings. Excellent scene, great layout to support the fleeing French army in tatters. More columns of troops expected to pass thru these streets soon. Robin.

I get sick of saying it, but I know you will never get sick of hearing it, but this surely has to be your best work. Well done.

Very nice dio.....the street scene/houses and the ground all match perfectly....
Cheers

Yeah, very impressive. Also, a less is more from the figure perspective. I really like the starkness, dreariness and emptiness that adds to the shock of the civilians. Very nice job.

Great looking display Wayne!!!!!!!!!! from the buildings, terrain, the soldiers all tie in perfectly together, thanks for posting...Sammy

Wayne,

that's a brilliant diorama, and can be used in many scenarios for WW1 and WW2, so hope to see more of this one !!

By the way, who makes the NAP drummer??? He looks so good on the memorial.

Maybe if you set it up for WW2 you then use a WW1 soldier instead as a tribute to the troops who gave the all in The Great War ?

John

Very well done Wayne.Your village buildings are outstanding and really compliment the scene.Like your description of what's happening as well.Regards Greg.
