Hello,

With due respect to our generous hosts, I'm taking a trip to Ireland over the holidays and I was wondering if there're any toy soldier shops I should be sure to visit. I'll be in the Dublin area for the bulk of the time, but am planning a few days further afield.

Thanks,
Allen

Hi There

Here is a dealer from WBritians, might have other makers as well and it looks like he is in the Dublin Area so have fun. Ireland is a lovely Country.

I had to go to Dublin last year and asked a few board members the same question. They said there really aren't any.

By the way, Belfast is not in Ireland but Northern Ireland.

While your in Belfast check out some of the army and navy surplus stores I found one near the market in the town center which sold some great old figures from king and country and Britains. Pays to scout around in Ireland

Thanks folks- will have to give those a look. A side-trip to Belfast was a distinct possibility- will definitely have a look at the shop if it ends up happening.

Best,
Allen

Yo Dave ID Models moved about two years back to Wicklow I think. Brad 1 is right Brad two lol Belfast is not in Ireland:rolleyes: its in the UK DOH. But to answer Allen's our new members question the only Toy Soldiers worth seeing in Ireland are MINE;) But serious I don't know what you collect ALL my 54mm are for sale already boxed up ready to go, so if you want to spend some dollars and see the real Ireland have a look at all my 54mm in my albums on my profile page and send me a Private message. I am only 1 hour from Dublin and the Tea/Coffee and Sandwiches are FREE:D. BTW Troopers just moving house so if I don't get to you all a Merry Christmas to you all (YOU HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR SOLDIERS):p.
Bernard.

Yo Allen just had a look at your profile and what you collect, I have some brilliant Old Britains for sale, and the 1990s issues even have all the Balaklava Regiments so dont miss out mate.
Bernard.

Thanks, Bernard, I know Belfast is part of the UK, and not in the Republic of Ireland. But you're all on the same island, from a traveler's perspective, which is why a trip to see Sammy at the Museum comes to my mind, when anyone mentions a trip to Ireland. He's a very nice gentleman, and he has some very nice items for us collectors.

Prost!
Brad
