The Russians were quick to retire!

It seems like I had only bought them yesterday (in fact I got them in the first month they were released

The early retirement is a sign that we won't see any K&C non-French/Brit subjects in the future

It's great to see a dismounted Napoleon at last!

Longing for some French Hussars!!!

I thought .. an early retirement meant that the stock was quickly sold out :(

It will be tooo bad .. if there were no more Russians. Sure am looking forward to some Russian Guards cavalry, Cuirassiers &/or Cossacks, to go with the foot soldiers & gun set

I see it as a positive sign for another Napoleon FOE !

Perhaps we can get some Prussians or another another enemy of the Republic ?

I believe Andy has stated on more than one occassion that Waterloo (French and British troops) is by far the major seller for the Napoleonic era. Maybe we will see Prussians for the Waterloo campaign but I doubt we will see more Russians or any other European adversaries.
Certainly would like to see some center line (fusilier) infantry for the French to column attack the British lines.
The line artillery is a great addition.

Whenever there is something by K & C that I like that gets retired relatively early, it seems to make the item, set or range become suddenly more salient to me, that is if it's already in my collection. It just seems to have a little more glow to it as if to say, "there won't be quite as many of me being made" :p! Of course, if a piece I like gets retired in a period of time that is perceived to be early that I don't have, I hit the panic buy button! I think we all know that feeling!

So it's kinda cool to have something that's not available for months on end if not years and thusly, produced in larger quantities. But the flipside can be painful if it occurs w/in a range that has really sparked your interest, because it may mean no further expansion of the line in the current direction. But who knows? The WW2 Chaffee tanks were retired very fast, but I don't think K & C is planning on slowing production of WW2 items anytime soon! :)

Its gotta be 1815 Prussians next surely...! If as been said before that Waterloo French/British sell is it possible we may not see Brunswickers and Dutch/Belgians ?

Better to retire the Russians than any of the French or Brits.
It is simply that they do not sell as well as the other groups of Naps.
As a retailer I know the British and French Infantry groups sell far better than the Russians............by a long way.
However I don't see that as meaning K&C won't do other non French or British figures.
Very good to see a new Napoleon.

Its strange ... that, since the retirement was announced 2 weeks ago, the Russians are fast disappearing from the shelves. I was looking to extending the "firing" line. So who's to say that these Russians were slow sellers.

Now I am hoping that K&C will round off the Russian releases .. by doing the Russians Guards cavalry. :) Please ....
