Shortly after that notables staff meeting. French line and light troops stormed the walls of Hugomount. Several attempts were made and repulsed.




On one of the attempts Pioneers broke through the gates and forced their way in. Hand to hand fighting insued




 
A squad of prussians Jaegers open fire on French line troops. They had been assigned to the "Young Frog" s command. Not known for taking iniative these Prussians did so and found there way to help the Coldstream Guards

 
Supporting both the Rebels and the Yankees and now entering the field with the Nappy's. When can I expect support at the Drift? Great job with the photos dio. Nice to know you been hooked my Lord General.....The Lt.

Thanks you guys. I am busy fighting a four front war. Napoleonics,ACW, Zulu and this bloody cold! Fifth day of this ! I am a mucous factory! All I do is bubble, gurgle, snuffle, sneeze, and cough!:(:mad::(

Nice shots Vamp! I noticed one of fubars new french grenadiers mixed in there painted as a voltiger. I still have a bunch of those guys half painted I need to finnish. If I ever finnish painting them up I might get another batch from him and might paint up a few as voltigers.

I just got over the cold from hell myself and feel your pain Vamp. I had it for almost 3 weeks and had to give in and see the docs and get antibiotics to kick it. I hope you feel better and keep the Nappies coming!

I have a few more to complete. One is missing an arm, but I am trying to finish them as light Grenadiers. Have some more pics to post. Also I am working on some of steve westons plastic riflemen. Modified to Coldstream
 
Oh those Nappy Boys are at it again, you can dress them up, but you can't take them anywhere. Nice paint job on those Alamo Mexicans.:)

Thanks Mike. New figures and additions coming up. The wounded/dead coldstream is from Steve Weston. Picked up some wall sections for H-mont. Getting some new figures to continue the thread. Gotta run. Espresso issues:eek:

It is late afternoon. The gate having been forced open spews members of the 54th Line like it is sick




Hand to hand fighting continues to intensify as exhausted Guards attempt to "See the Frogs out!"




The Prussians who had fired earlier scored hits but were now having to face returned fire from within the walls. An officer fires into the Prussians encouraging his tired men!


 
I have more pictures and figures coming up. I really need to get a tripod and keep the shadow from the camera out.
