Simpson and His Donkey (2 Viewers)

MD, how do you figure AU $99 prior to shipping as the RRP is AUD $109, did they give you a discount

The website says international orders will not be charged the $9.99 GST which is otherwise added to domestic orders. The invoice breaks it down to $99 for the set plus $9.99 added for your GST.

Is this the opening salvo of a full on Gallipolli campaign from WB? Come on Ken don't keep us in too much suspense.

Thanks for the link oz , I just ordered one but made a hash of my address
so someone in Wellington , Australia could be getting a small A*s on me .

I guess you have emailed them to change the address from Wellington Australia to Wellington NZ ;)

The last time I was in Wellington, Australia was at a soccer match back in my high school years. I recall running down the wing with the ball then suddenly landing on my back and getting up winded after being tripped - by a 'supporter' for the other team - tough little town Wellington :)

Yeah I sent them an email but no reply as yet, We normally rely on the
wind to slow down opposition sports teams but if all else fails .

Good luck with that. Btw, it was a middle-aged female supporter that tripped me. Maybe it was payback for something I had done to 'her little boy' earlier in the game

Well my set arrived today after my address kerfuffle ,
Realy nice little set , the first from Britains I,ve bought
for quite some time and well worth it .

Hi, I am new to the forums. As an ex Australian Army Soldier and Officer I couldn't find enough ANZAC figures also... those I could find didn't work well together in dioramas. I started designing and generally recasting to make a range of figures I liked which could also complement my existing old hollowcasts from britains. I will attach a few pics to a new thread on this forum. I made ambulances for the Anzacs, gun crews, Camel corps and of course Turkish clavalry and Infantry.

Let me know what you think. I sold a few sets on ebay but never really pursued it as I found people paying me around US$20-40 a figure and I felt guilty as they are really only homecasts. I like to see the hobby perpetuate not degenerate due to prices.

You gotta love those toy soldiers. They are great.
Well done and welcome

Welcome to the forum BustedVet, those certainly are some nice figures you have made. I look forward to seeing more of your collection.

I stumbled across this thread by accident but I'm glad I did. I didn't know this, but 'Simpson' was born in South Shields which is my and my twin brothers birthplace as well. He also attended Mortimer Road School in South Shields which is the same school my dear departed mum and her twin brother also attended (although not at the same time as Simpson). I just had to order these figures. Very poignant indeed!
