Look similar in size except for the crouching figs, FL figures definitely have better detail, up to each collector if thats worth the extra cost as usual.

Vezzolf, here are a few comparison photos of the War Park Gross Deutschland figures to the left and the First Legion Stalingrad figures to the right. As the others have said throughout this thread, the size-compatibility, detail, and paint work between the WP and FL figures are very similar. Naturally, FL has the overall edge in quality, but considering the WP figures cost about half as much, they are extremely nice as well...

[FONT=&quot]There is more than one sculptor at War Park. Some figures are slightly bigger/bulkier as Mark mentioned (like the recent Marching Grossdeutschland figures).[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Others are exactly First Legion size, like the later Kharkov winter marching figures (these all were the same size as the recent FL winter Stalingrad figures). Also all the the War Park tank crews (both summer and winter) are exactly FL size. You cant tell a difference between the tank crews, and they all blend in perfectly.[/FONT]

To be honest, one must say there is a great discrepancy in size between the early FL and recent ones, specially in Stalingrad range. You can see how the crouching Stalingrad FL is small in comparison to the WP figure, but that is what happens also in comparison to more recent figure. I have some early RussStal figures and they are midgets compared to the marching figures produced later. By the way it's realistic to have different sized figures without excess obviously.

Great comparison photos; they really show the contrast between the manufacturers figures. Really amazing how the size of the FL figures has changed since their introduction. I cannot think of another manufacturers figures that have changed so much over time except for Figarti's transition from 1/32 to 1/30 scale.

For those of you doing large dioramas - If there is a size issue with the figures and AFV's, try to put the larger figures in the front.. That will resolve a lot of your size issues..
